We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I am satisfied with the solution's stability.""It has absolutely improved the efficiency of our security team. We use it internally as well. It is such a powerful tool that our internal security team became a customer of our ArcSight managed service.""The out-of-the-box rules that help us configure functioning rules within the environment are valuable.""The correlation feature is good.""The webpage algorithm is the most valuable feature because it was the fastest feature for searching the logs, events, and correlation.""The most valuable feature of ArcSight ESM is its ease of use.""The user interfaces are quite good and speedy.""What I found most valuable in ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) is its good integration with third-party products. The solution also has good core capabilities."

"AccelOps can handle a lot of data and it's just so important to true monitoring. Also, I can create a lot of rules to detect anything I like.""We find the solution to be stable.""FortiSIEM sends an email or SMS notifications to admins when there are significant incidents. It's a highly efficient way of responding to incidents.""Fortinet FortiSIEM needs to provide better API integrations to users.""One of the most valuable features is that we can combine SOC and NOC operations in the same tool. We can provide NOC and SOC services in the same tool for two separate teams. There are plenty of third-party solutions that integrate with FortiSIEM. All these solutions already have a ready integration, and we have the possibility to create a custom connector for these solutions. Its reports are also very good.""There are things like dashboards and reports (pre-configured and custom) that let me know that things are operating the way they should be, and when they are not.""It's a very nice solution to work with.""The product is quite well-organized. The GUI makes it easy to navigate."

Cons
"The user interface of ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager could improve. It is not very good. Additionally, they could integrate the web interface better.""The centralized dashboard for the hybrid cloud environment needs to be more focused. It needs to be redefined because it's missing most of the information. It should be a little bit easy to use. Currently, integration with various applications and connectors is not that easy. Deployment is easy, but integration is not that easy. ArcSight also has a very high bandwidth consumption to pull the local servers. It should have some kind of better process or ability to transfer files from on-premises to the cloud, from the cloud to on-premises, and from a cloud to another cloud.""The API integration could be better, and I'd like to see more machine-learning capabilities in the future.""When I asked our networking juniors for a comparison between LogRhythm and ArcSight, they said that both platforms are almost the same. It is just that LogRhythm is more modern with a digital platform, which probably gives it some advantage over ArcSight. ArcSight is a very old and mature product that is running on an old platform. It is an old legacy platform. In terms of new features, it just requires platform upgrades so that it becomes lighter and easily adaptable, specifically in the cloud. It would be a good thing if they can also make reporting easier.""HPE ArcSight has a quite steep learning curve.""Sometimes, it takes ages to get an issue resolved. I have ArcSight experience, so I normally try to fix things on my own or find a workaround, but it's tough to get support when I need it.""In certain cases, this product does have false positives, which the company should work on.""I am having issues with report generation with older versions. I don't know if this is because of compatibility issues, but report generation has been a little bit difficult in older versions. It is not similar to the newer and current versions. We are looking at moving to the cloud. It would be good if ArcSight ESM can move to the cloud. They already seem to be working on this. It would also be very helpful and great if we can integrate external threat intelligence, machine learning, and AI into this solution. It has good dashboards, but they can always be better. Its stability can also be improved."

More ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) Cons →

"They need to integrate better with Cisco and Palo Alto.""When compared with some competitors, in terms of performance, the CPU and RAM requirements and the capability of coordination with development all need some improvement.""Fortinet FortiSIEM could improve by having a signature update.""The dashboards need to be improved. It gives you so much detail, but sometimes too much detail, especially to an executive, it's too much.""Does not have load-sharing or high-availability, and these are important things to implement. I can do the same things in another way, but not naturally having these features makes it complicated.""The solution's interface could be modernized and improved.""Fortinet FortiSIEM could improve by having better integration and extensions. This would benefit by allowing us to give more rules.""When our team tried configuring logs for Microsoft SQL, it did not work."
