We performed a comparison between Denodo and Jitterbit Harmony based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Data Integration solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Denodo is lightweight in terms of how it leads you to combine your discrete data systems at one spot."
"The most valuable feature is the performance. Denodo is very useful, especially in this huge pharma environment. I've found that older SAP solutions were very tightly coupled to each other, which resulted in data restrictions. Getting data from different sources was tough and tedious. Compared to these old solutions, Denodo is very easy to work with for the analytical team. Now that we've implemented this virtualization layer, we are capable of getting the data very smoothly. We implemented a very small unit, but the performance and integration have been very good."
"The logical data warehouse functionality is fantastic. It truly stands out. The ClearOptimizer and Virtual Cache are great features. They work together seamlessly to optimize performance."
"It allows a lot of traceability and you can decide what data you want to collect"
"It is a go-to tool for data virtualization. The virtualization and data catalog are the features of why we chose Denodo."
"The performance and the speed to market are the most valuable features of this solution."
"The most valuable feature is Data Catalogs."
"Denodo is very stable."
"The fluid user interface (probably the most user friendly interface, when compared to its competitors)."
"It runs like an appliance and has tremendous throughput."
"It is very easy to build integrations and processes to pull and push data."
"Jitterbit provides the ability to quickly map data between files and databases."
"The Cloud Console for monitoring and troubleshooting data operations."
"Integrity, ease of use, user-friendly user interface, and errorless logs are the most valuable features."
"It is a scalable solution."
"We only use small parts of the solution, however, the parts that we use are quite adequate."
"I would like it if we could pull the data model or export the data model because Denodo has, based on how you build, something called associations. The data model gets very confusing when you go look at it. It depends on how you define it, but it's really huge. I wish there was a way to export it into Visio. It could be that they already have a way to do it, and I don't know, but it would be much easier for the architects and even for the developers to look at it than scrunching it into the screen and expanding every small portion of it. If there was an easy way to export the Denodo model into another modeling tool and view it, it would be great."
"I would like to see a proper way to avoid killing the sourcing systems."
"There are a couple of areas that can be improved in Denodo. From a stability point of view, sometimes we see issues in the data management functionality. This only happens now and then, however, and usually takes place when we add in our own customization."
"The integration could use improvement, it's a lot of non-speed line processes that we have discovered, in the country. The configurations could use a lot more improvement."
"Sometimes, Windows-related functions do not work properly in Denodo. The analytic functions in SQL do not work properly."
"I would like to see a connectivity option with third-party apps, for example, JDBC, and ODBC drivers. Currently, we need to install it separately from the Denodo side and then connect it."
"It would be good if the solution provided a much-needed cellular platform."
"The solution should have its own acceleration technology."
"Sometimes we experience disconnections and I have to close all Jitterbit programs."
"Its API management capabilities need improvement."
"You need to have some development skills or hire a Jitterbit engineer to make changes."
"In the past few months, there have been some server downtimes during work hours that have affected some critical scheduled integrations."
"There were some bugs in the product. For example if you run a delete query and test, it deletes the actual data."
"Looping through complex data structures can be difficult."
"The initial setup can be a little bit difficult."
"Sometimes additional connectors are needed."
