Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is stable.""The reporting you receive out of this appliance is excellent. You will not need an external management system.""The most valuable feature is the ease of configuration.""The initial setup of Fortinet FortiGate was straightforward.""The dashboard I have found the most valuable in Fortinet FortiGate.""The GUI is good.""The solution is very easy to understand. It's not overly complex.""The security features are about the best that I've seen anywhere."

"GajShield has improved our mobile device-based connectivity.""The most valuable feature of the GajShield Next Generation Firewall is the user-friendly settings, dashboards, and anti-threat protection. Additionally, the solution upgrades frequently which is good because we receive new features.""It is a stable solution.""It is an easily scalable solution...The initial setup was very easy.""Gajshiled's enterprise cloud and DLP-level features give it an advantage over other products.""GajShield Next Generation Firewall's best feature is the network DLP.""The solution's outcome is very high, and we often use it in a very high-traffic environment."

"The tool's most valuable feature is threat protection and DLP features. So far, basic DLP features like content protection and blocking. Furthermore, for remote users, features such as back filtering and application control are available, allowing for command and control from our side. It is very easy to understand policy applications.""Sophos XG has cybersecurity. It integrates with the antivirus software.""We've deployed quite a number for our users and our customers, and the feedback is quite positive in terms of management and also administration.""Most of the features Sophos XG has are valuable. However, if I have two different ISP, I'm able to create an automatic switch between the two ISPs. I can do the same thing for the cloud as well. If I have two subnets coming from the cloud, I'm able to create a type of switch between both of them where if there is traffic on one and has the traffic drop, I'm able to switch to the other ISP without any problems. It's a normal feature and I get to enjoy the ability to switch between services with no issues.""The multifactor authentication is helpful because whenever the user wants to connect to the firewall, they have to use the authenticator before they can access it.""We created and configured a VPN for connecting our remote sites and also to make it more secure and reliable. We also like its two-factor authentication features.""The VPN features and its capabilities are great.""The solution has very good security features, is easy to use for administrators and users, and has informative reports."

Cons
"Sometimes you do need to know some CLI commands, so it's a bit harder for technicians or new people that don't know it.""Maybe they could make some features more accessible, such as a way to translate directions between two networks that share the same subnets.""Its customer service could be better.""The UTM filtering needs improvement.""Palo Alto has a feature called WildFire Analysis that is unavailable in FortiGate. WildFire is better than a sandbox because it can address zero-day threats and vulnerabilities. It can immediately identify zero-day threats from the cloud.""The stability could be a bit better.""Fortinet FortiGate should improve the VPN tokens.""The initial setup is complex."

More Fortinet FortiGate Cons →

"We raised a support ticket, and the project didn't get a proper response. There was a skill issue in TAC support.""Sometimes, we have to use SD-WAN support for the solution, which can be improved by adapting some features that will help our approach to network services.""We face issues with some configuration parts that we don't understand in the solution, and sometimes we face issues with the VPN connection.""Gajshield can improve SD-WAN compatibility at an enterprise cloud level.""GajShield Next Generation Firewall would be improved with the addition of a load-balancing feature.""The firewall configuration and administration screens could use some improvement.""GajShield Next Generation Firewall could improve the flow of the settings. If somebody's using a Cisco firewall or any other brand and they want to use GajShield Next Generation Firewall the platform's UI is a bit different. If it was more similar to the others it would be better."

More GajShield Next Generation Firewall Cons →

"Sophos XG could improve Data Loss Prevention(DLP).""Everything is working as expected at this moment, but the anti-spam solution in Sophos XG needs to be improved. It needs more granular features and more stability. The anti-spam solution currently doesn't have many features, and we would like to have more features. At this moment, there is no expression filter for anti-spam. We need something to be able to filter subjects or attachments in emails based on the keyword. Sometimes, there is an issue with anti-spam, and Sophos XG suddenly stops processing incoming or outgoing emails. The only solution for this issue is to restart the appliance. Their support should be improved. It takes a long time to escalate a support case from level one to level two.""The MTR feature needs enhancing.""The SD-WAN could be improved.""We feel that the GUI can be improved a bit because it has a lot of information and looks a bit outdated.""The solution could improve by making the graphical interface better and increasing the performance.""It would be better if they made their own hardware like Palo Alto and Fortinet. They use their own ASICs and claim it is more secure.""The security of Sophos XG could be improved."

    Reviews from Real Users

Sophos XG Firewall stands out among its competitors, among other reasons, for its intrusion detection capabilities, its user-friendly management platform, and in general, for being a complete and robust firewall solution.

Niranjan P., a network & system support engineer, writes, “Sophos is a comprehensive solution which allows me to configure all the attendant products, such as Sophos's firewall, endpoint, and encryption features. A nice feature of Sophos is that it offers in sync and heartbeat security. When my clients have a perimeter involving Sophos firewall and endpoints with Sophos Endpoint, they can communicate with each other.”

Antonio D., sales manager at INFOSEC, notes, “The product has a console that is based in the cloud for all their products. In this console, they have email security, firewall security, endpoint security, et cetera. All of the products on offer in the console are very useful for us. The solution is stable. The solution works well for enterprises and large-scale organizations.”

Antony M., ICT/HMIS supervisor at a healthcare company, writes, “The VPN feature is the most valuable. It has come in handy during this period when people are working from home. The filtering feature is also valuable because you can easily filter the sites that you don't want to visit. You can also set timely surfing quotas”
