Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is straightforward.""We use the product to run applications and devices.""Google Sheets and Google Docs are the most valuable features of the solution.""The breadth and capability of the various extensions and plug-ins that are out there for Chrome to do additional things on top of just working in the browser are fantastic.""It has been working pretty well for us...By and large, things are pretty stable.""The solution has been stable.""Chrome functions as a comprehensive solution due to its continuous self-evaluation and improvement. The evolution process has been significant, with a notable distance covered from its inception to the present. Notably, features like VPN support have been incorporated over time, enhancing the platform's capabilities. A distinctive feature is that users don't even need to know the Wi-Fi password; upon signing into the machine, internet connectivity is established immediately. Furthermore, the cloud storage system ensures data isn't stored locally, making it seamless for users to switch between machines. In summary, Google Chrome Enterprise is an excellent solution, particularly when there's a shortage of available manpower.""Google Chrome Enterprise is a stable solution with good performance."

"This is a stable product and we plan to continue using it in the future.""A valuable feature of Windows Server has been the performance. We have done all the redundancy and fault tolerance things to protect our servers and, so far, so good.""Windows server is easy to use.""I like the views in the user interface.""The initial setup is quite straightforward.""Windows Server is user-friendly and it is simply to support.""We chose Windows Server because it is easy to use, and easy to maintain.""It's very easy and user-friendly compared to any other operating system."

Cons
"Identifying areas for improvement can be challenging since Chrome consistently strives to enhance itself. One aspect I'd like to highlight is virtualization. For instance, if you require desktop-based applications like Cisco or Adobe products on your local machine, Chrome's support is limited. While they offer Linux solutions for virtualization, my query or request would be to expand this to include Windows-based applications. If this were implemented, it would be a valuable enhancement, encouraging broader adoption by companies.""The solution's interface is an area with certain shortcomings that need improvement.""They need to deal with their memory management.""Chromebooks are hard to find in the Indonesian market.""I wish there was a way that they could update things a little less often if anything. I think a lot of enterprise customers are frustrated... Certain plug-ins like ad blockers will lose some functionality in the next quarter to half a year.""You still need to have a pretty good understanding of GCP to deploy it properly.""Additional data security and data privacy features could be proactively recommended by Google.""The tool is not very user-friendly."

"I would like to see easier implementation and better customer service in the future.""The solution's licensing price is on the expensive side.""The security could be improved.""The solution could offer higher availability.""The product has certain shortcomings related to security capability in the area of incident response, making it the tool's component where improvements are required.""It would be better if they improved the user interface.""The security suffers the same issues as our Windows 10 for endpoint deployments. It could be more secure.""The user interface could be simplified."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "We are on a monthly subscription for this solution."
  • "So all I can say is just for us since we just recently re-upped our three-year contract for Google Education Enterprise, whatever the name is for their highest level enterprise...I found the pricing to be pretty reasonable overall."
  • "Google Chrome Enterprise is a medium-priced solution."
  • "Pricing varies significantly based on different regions and specific requirements. The cost can differ for the Euro price as opposed to the Asia-specific price. Generally, the standard pricing falls within the range of twenty-five to thirty dollars per license. This payment can be structured on a monthly or yearly basis. Opting for the yearly payment plan often comes with an added discount, either directly from Google or through negotiations with your vendor."
  • "Yearly payments are to be made towards the licensing costs of Google Chrome Enterprise. It is not an expensive solution. I rate the solution's pricing model a six out of ten. There is a need to pay an extra cost in addition to the solution's standard licensing fees."
  • "The product price is very good in my opinion."

  • "Microsoft is relatively inexpensive compared to other database platforms."
  • "This is not an expensive product."
  • "It is an expensive product."
  • "In our case, we primarily use Microsoft, so the cost is a lot less. But some of our customers have spent approximately $12,000 a year on the operating system license."
  • "The license model needs improvement."
  • "Our current license is an enterprise license agreement which gives you a whole lot of possibility, especially when you go through an R&D process. For example, you can provision everything, spread the service use over six months, and then wrap it up. It gives you a lot of flexibility."
  • "The Windows Server standard edition is affordable."
  • "We pay yearly for a license. If you ask any vendor they will tell you that it could be cheaper."

    Reviews from Real Users

There are a number of characteristics that make Windows Server an extremely effective solution. Two major ones are its inherent flexibility and its user-friendly nature.

PeerSpot user Antonio D., a sales manager at INFOSEC, takes note of Windows Server 2016’s flexibility when he writes, “The product is a good operating system. The features fit our needs very well. For example, with Windows Server, you can use a machine for printing, accessing the internet, or using some applications. You can do it all with one server. You don't need several servers. One is enough.”

Himanshu T., a system administrator and DevOps engineer at a tech-services company, takes note of the various way in which Windows Server 2016 is easy to use when he writes, “This solution is very user friendly, easy to use for any system administrator, simple to deploy applications, has a wide range of applications available, great UI, and takes less technical skills to operate than some other competitors. Additionally, the active directory has great functionality; if we want to integrate any assets, then we can easily do it.”
