"The solution is very fast and succinct."
"Without Splunk Enterprise Security, it would be difficult for us to manage and prioritize alerts. There's a potential to lose track of important notifications, and it's essential to our security that we do not miss anything. Splunk has improved our investigations because the reporting and dashboarding make things so much easier. We can provide weekly or monthly reports. I also like Splunk's ability to integrate."
"The product provides visibility and enables us to correlate data and generate alerts."
"It is the best tool if you have a complex environment or if data ingestion is too huge."
"It allows us to digest the information, the data, the different data streams, so we can make decisions based upon information that we receive, and it is pretty robust."
"It gives us the liberty to do more in terms of use cases."
"Splunk is stable, and this is why many customers want it."
"What I really like is that even if you have already collected the data, you can extract fields and can build searches."
"It could be even more automated."
"The product provides minimal metrics that are insufficient."
"Lacking sufficient operations documentation."
"While we are satisfied with the overall performance, in certain cases we must add additional metrics and additional tools like Grafana and Dynatrace."
"This solution could be improved if it offered the ability to analyze charts, such as a solution like Kibana."
"The logging functionality could be better."
"If I want to track any round-trip or breakdowns of my response times, I'm not able to get it. My request goes through various levels of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and comes back to my client machine. Suppose that my request has taken 10 seconds overall, so if I want to break it down, to see where the delay is happening within my architecture, I am not able to find that out using Stackdriver."
"It is difficult to estimate in advance how much something is going to cost."

". Having a trial version or more training on Splunk would be helpful."
"Splunk Enterprise Security can be improved by including backup network detection and response and safe management to the paid platform."
"Missing capability for audio/video and image processing."
"The UI can be difficult to understand for non-technical people."
"I feel the solution to be too slow."
"It currently has limited default rules and customizations. If they can concentrate more on the compliance part and the security information part, it would be helpful. The platform part is good, but it requires many features from the security aspect."
"It is a good product, but the Achilles heel for a lot of organizations is the cost model for it because it gets expensive. That's because the model is based on how much data it processes a day, which can be prohibitive, especially if you have a lot of data. A lot of customers may not be ready for the sticker shock on how to fully leverage the product. I realized that the reason for that is that when it was originally designed, it was kind of like a big data modeling application. If they want to have a bigger customer base, they can come out with subsets of their product that are focused on specific things and have different pricing models. It may help with the cost."
"We will receive alerts only for the administrators and deployment servers, but not for all servers."
