We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like that you are able to manage FortiGate from the FortiManager to create a more centralized environment.""It has very easy management and an amazing ETM configuration.""One of the valuable features is a standardized OS.""The usage in general is pretty good.""Some of the valuable features are the firewall, IPS, web filter, and gateway capabilities. Additionally, it is easy to use and flexible.""The web tutor and automatic rules by schedule are good features.""The security on offer is very good.""Whenever I need something, Fortinet improves and updates the software for me."

"We like the solution’s protocol and its dashboard system.""One of Juniper vSRX's most valuable features is its integration with safety applications. It keeps the software secure from developers without relying on third-party solutions.""Juniper is more flexible with the commit check and the commit confirmed command. The design of the forwarding and contract plan in the operating system is very important for the performance when we have very big traffic.""The command feature is valuable.""The authentication part is seamless and easy for people.""The solution has good features.""The architecture of the OS in Juniper is very good. It's flexibility, scalability, and the technicality is also good.""The most valuable features are application filtering, content filtering, the intrusion prevention system (IPS), and definitely the application firewall."

"Once you have Zscaler running you have access to configure it however you want.""The solution is scalable.""The initial setup is straightforward.""It helps a lot of companies to reduce their downtime. Also, It helps businesses in terms of being secured and protected from any threats.""Zscaler provides effective protection against various cyber threats ensuring a safe environment""Zscaler Cloud Firewall understands the applications in the current generation and adapts to the present generation cloud applications.""It provides in-depth visibility into your network, ensuring that traffic flowing into your organization, be it from offices or individual users, is effectively filtered and secured through multiple layers of protection.""Most of the features that Zscaler has to offer, we will deploy."

Cons
"There are some problems that support cannot give you a logical reason as to why it happened. For example, I had a case where I was dealing with a WhatsApp application that was giving issues. Technical support gave more than one reason it could be giving issues, but none of them solved the problem. Eventually I solved the problem, but it was far from the solutions that support had given.""Technical support could be better. You don't always get the level of help you need right away.""One area for improvement is the performance on bandwidth demands for smaller devices, as well as better web filtering.""While FortiGate is cheaper than most other solutions, we're seeing increased license renewal costs. Most of our clients are asking for more significant discounts because the price is going up.""Security is a continuous process. In every product, there is a requirement for improvement. Its pricing should also be improved according to Indian market requirements. They must also improve on the reporting part. Its reporting can be more precise. If we can get a real-time report in a specific format, it will be helpful for customers to know about the current status of their security.""The Web-filter in this solution is not very good.""Fortinet should focus on enhancing the capabilities of FortiGate by consolidating its various products, such as FortiGate Cloud, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.""The solution can have more features in a single box that can be multi-applied to integrate everything."

More Fortinet FortiGate Cons →

"VPN access is an area that needs improvement.""The solution's GUI needs improvement.""The security feature must be improved.""We worked with Cisco's support and Juniper's support and there are some differences, to be honest, Cisco is more available and is more competent at addressing our cases.""In the next release, I would like to see improvements made to the GUI because it isn't very good.""It could use more tutorials.""Some people complain that the solution tends to have a steep learning curve. It could be because most people have basic familiarity with Cisco or other similar products and maybe have never worked closely with Juniper products.""he stability could be improved."

More Juniper vSRX Cons →

"There are some areas it could improve when it comes to blocking, we have to block some things manually. For example, if we block a top-level domain we have seen that the new IPs come through, the IPs are not blocked. There should be some more granular way of doing it. My only request is if you're blocking something at a top level, the sub-level sub-domains and all those other IPs should be blocked too automatically.""Pricing is a challenge.""When it comes to customer support, there is room for improvement in Zscaler's service.""It would be better if they improved their policy, package visibility, and flexibility while we're creating rules for inspection. It could also be cheaper or more things could be included in the basic package. In the next release, I would like better coverage in the Asia Pacific region and better quality of service.""Zscaler Cloud Firewall should have a better understanding of all dynamic cloud applications.""It would be nice to have some sort of a form factor, a physical form factor perhaps, or virtual machine that you could install on devices or on a cloud, and have some cloud computing.""The product could improve its integration with some legacy systems.""The issue right now is probably that Zscaler is not providing web browser isolation. Another solution, Menlo, offers this. For one customer, we had to send traffic to Menlo to do the isolation for us. It was requested by the customer so that they could integrate any iframe. Zscaler needs to add this type of feature in their next release."
