Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We use Kiuwan to locate the source of application vulnerabilities.""Lifecycle features, because they permit us to show non-technical people the risk and costs hidden into the code due to bad programming practices.""I've found the reporting features the most helpful.""I personally like the way it breaks down security vulnerabilities with LoC at first glance.""We are using this solution to increase the quality of our software and to test the vulnerabilities in our tools before the customers find them.""The solution has a continuous integration process.""I find it immensely helpful because it's not just about generating code; it's about ensuring efficiency in the execution.""The feature that I have found the most valuable in Kiuwan is the speed of scanning. Compared to other SaaS tools I have used, Kiuwan is much quicker in performing scans. I have not yet used it on a large code base, but from what I have experienced, it is efficient and accurate. Additionally, I have used it both manually and in an automated pipeline, and both methods have been effective. The speed of scanning is what makes it valuable to me."

"The product has a friendly UI that is easy to use and understand.""SonarQube is scalable. My company has 50 users.""The code coverage feature is very good.""The initial setup is simple. It requires some security, but it's simple.""The most valuable features are the dashboard reports and the ease of integrating it with Jenkins.""It is working fine. It provides a good value for money.""We consider it a handy tool that helps to resolve our issues immediately.""We've configured it to run on each commit, providing feedback on our software quality. ]"

Cons
"The solution seems to give us a lot of false positives. This could be improved quite a bit.""The product's UI has certain shortcomings, where improvements are required.""DIfferent languages, such Spanish, Portuguese, and so on.""It would be beneficial to streamline calls and transitions seamlessly for improved functionality.""In Kiuwan there are sometimes duplicates found in the dependency scan under the "insights" tab. It's unclear to me why these duplicates are appearing, and it would be helpful if the application teams could investigate further.""The next release should include more flexibility in the reporting.""The development-to-delivery phase.""Perhaps more languages supported."

More Kiuwan Cons →

"Technical support and the price could be better.""There is no automation. You need to put the code there and test. You then pull the results and put them back in the development environment. There is no integration with the development environment. We would like it to be integrated with our development environment, which is basically the CI/CD pipeline or the IDE that we have.""Expression of common vulnerabilities and exposures is not always current.""The product must improve security analysis.""SonarQube can improve by scanning the internal library which currently it does not do. We are looking for a solution for this.""The software testing tool capability could improve. It does not always integrate well. You have to use a specific plugin and the plugin does not always go in Apple's applications.""We could use some team support, but since we are using the community version, it's not available.""If there was an official Docker image of SonarQube that could easily integrate into the pipeline would help the user to plug in and plug out and use it directly without any custom configuration. I am not sure if this is being offered already in an update but it would be very helpful."

The platform guides you through issue resolution, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. SonarQube’s comprehensive reporting is a valuable tool for dev teams to monitor their codebase's overall health and quality across multiple projects in their portfolio. With SonarQube, you can achieve a state of Clean Code, leading to secure, reliable, and maintainable software.
