We performed a comparison between Microsoft Intune and Okta Workforce Identity based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, VMware, ManageEngine and others in Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)."I like the group policy management feature, which performs application monitoring and device enrollment."
"Stable solution at a good price."
"Remote Wipe and Autopilot is one of the best features."
"We have not experienced any bugs or glitches with this solution."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects."
"The most valuable feature is probably mobile device management. Small businesses are coming under greater scrutiny and requirements for compliance as time goes on. We don't have to worry about a VPN because we can manage these devices, control company data, and lock users out. If needed, we can remotely wipe devices and deadman-switch them."
"There has been a noticeable increase in productivity for both my organization and clients."
"Intune provides full endpoint visibility and IT control across device platforms. You can individualize it for your company with the Intune Company Portal app."
"One of the features that I have found to be very valuable is its interoperability and compatibility with all types of resources, whether it's networking, infrastructure, or applications. That is, it is compatible as well as interoperable, as far as the federated authentication is concerned."
"I am able to authenticate my users on cloud and SaaS applications such as Workday through Okta workflows."
"It is a very stable solution."
"The most valuable aspects of the solution are the integration with external websites one-factor authentication."
"The tool helps improve our security and productivity."
"Okta integrates well with other solutions. Once you have integrated an application into Okta and onboarded a user, they will be onboarded for just-in-time provisioning."
"The solution can scale very well."
"We can automate the process of adding users to Okta if they are activated in Active Directory, or if they are added to the database of applications or Active Directory in the last couple of days."
"The documentation about the custom image setup could be better. Although Microsoft provides the steps to configure Intune or set up or deploy Intune, it doesn't have much information related to custom images. If you ask, "how can we deploy the custom image?" There is no information. The steps they mention ask you to connect to your on-premises environment or create your own image on the cloud itself once there is connectivity. But I needed to go to multiple websites to get all this information. I had to figure out how to upload the custom image if you want to use the on-premise custom image for Cloud PC. If you have the proper subscription, you must have the right access, like global admin or owner. Then you can add your custom image to that. There are no steps mentioned over there. Microsoft Intune doesn't have Chrome browser support. I would like to have that support because they will want it if we pitch the product to clients."
"Integrating certain group policies can be challenging and may necessitate using on-premises systems to integrate them with Microsoft Intune."
"What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade."
"The synchronization could be improved."
"Integration with Mac devices requires some improvement."
"Intune's reporting and logging could be improved. When troubleshooting, it's difficult to collect the logs and determine what's happening. If I want to filter out the compliant devices, I can see it from the logs, but I would like the option to drill down further."
"Intune lags all of its competitors in terms of report generation."
"I'd suggest adding more features for macOS in Intune. There should be more functionality for managing macOS. There should be a better capability for pushing things down on macOS. Currently, Intune is not capable of managing macOS at the same level as Windows."
"UD attribute mapping, Okta group rules, and dynamic usage could use improvement. It also needs more in-depth functionality and features to integrate with RADIUS solutions."
"The product does not offer enough integration capabilities."
"The error logging could be improved. Okta doesn't provide enough details when you are troubleshooting an issue. It's often difficult to fix it from our end, so we always need additional support from Okta."
"This user integration with the Okta integration network could be simplified."
"The solution is very expensive."
"It is challenging to obtain a comprehensive backup."
"There should be automated aggregation and complete classification processes included in it."
"Okta Workforce Identity can improve by having more features in governance."
