Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"With PingSafe, it's easy to onboard new accounts.""It is scalable, stable, and can detect any threat on a machine. It uses artificial intelligence and can lock down any virus.""The agentless vulnerability scanning is great.""It is advantageous in terms of time-saving and cost reduction.""The user interface is well-designed and easy to navigate.""The cloud misconfiguration is the most valuable feature.""The management console is the most valuable feature.""All the features we use are equal and get the job done."

"The integrations for this solution are very good. I use a different product for virtual patching of vulnerabilities and Qualys integrates well with that product.""The Vulnerability Management and Patch Management features are the most valuable features of this solution.""The most valuable feature of the solution is the external channel.""It's a good product. After the scan our internet works well. It scans our security posture.""It is a simple solution that makes scanning easy. You just give it a scheduled task, and it will do everything for you.""I find Qualys VM very robust, and it's very useful for vulnerability management and patch management. The value that it brings to my environment is economies of scale. There is no limitation on adding any endpoints. You go by the rule, and it's added once another endpoint is added to our environment. It's automatically installed, and it's less work from our end. It frees up my license automatically if I don't need an endpoint or if my machine is decommissioned. I like the dashboard displays because I don't see any duplication. The most important part is vulnerability management and prioritization. Unlike Symantec, it shows the kind of vulnerability I would want to patch first. It provides a holistic view of the kind of vulnerabilities and the ones I should remediate first. I don't have to do a scan; it just brings up those critical kinds of vulnerabilities like zero-day vulnerabilities and tells me to prioritize them. You have to prioritize these vulnerabilities first and go on with the rest. The dashboard shows me the ones that have been fixed, so I don't have to complete an aging report. The user experience and the graphical interface are good. As it's user-friendly and understandable on an executive level, it brings real value. We also use this solution because it's robust and flexibile.""Vulnerability management is the most valuable one and it’s a must in every organization.""Tech support is helpful."

"The product helps us understand our environment better.""The security is good.""The most valuable features are intrusion prevention and anti-malware capabilities.""Detection response and cloud conformity are valuable features.""Trend Vision One - Cloud Security does not utilize a lot of resources which allows our users to keep working even during a scan.""The storage and computing features are valuable.""The perfect package for all security platforms, providing more than any other endpoint solution.""The most valuable part of Trend Vision One - Cloud Security is its dashboard, as it's simple. It's easy to manage, and you can better control the solution."

Cons
"We've found a lot of false positives.""In terms of ease of use, initially, it is a bit confusing to navigate around, but once you get used to it, it becomes easier.""The resolution suggestions could be better, and the compliance features could be more customizable for Indian regulations. Overall, the compliance aspects are good. It gives us a comprehensive list, and its feedback is enough to bring us into compliance with regulations, but it doesn't give us the specific objects.""PingSafe can be improved by developing a comprehensive set of features that allow for automated workflows.""PingSafe takes four to five hours to detect and highlight an issue, and that time should be reduced.""There is room for improvement in the current active licensing model for PingSafe.""While it is good, I think the solution's console could be improved.""The could improve their mean time to detect."

"The tool needs to improve the adding assets and report generation features. I would like to see the policy scan of offline appliances in the product's future releases.""There's a need to upgrade or fix the potential vulnerability rate. Around 20,000 potential vulnerabilities were showing in Qualys VMDR, but none of the other tools showed them. When we checked, it wasn't the case. Support explained that even small issues were being counted as vulnerabilities, causing issues in our audit. So, the security features could be improved to identify vulnerabilities accurately.""I would like to see this solution more developed and competitive in the Cloud space.""The solution is a bit expensive if you do not have access to discounts.""They should make it accessible for more operating systems.""It is a struggle to be able to pull our report and to be able to do onboarding using automated tools.""Improve the API speed.""There needs to be better documentation."

More Qualys VMDR Cons →

"Trend Vision One - Cloud Security could improve connections with different types of authentication and user groups concerning cloud services.""Trend Vision One - Cloud Security seems to have a preference for AWS Cloud over Azure and would be improved by focusing equally on both.""Documentation on cloud architecture and job architecture would be helpful.""The workbook insights generate a massive list, making it inconvenient to review.""The pricing can get high.""The initial setup is easy for someone who operates container platforms on a daily basis. However, it could be difficult for those coming purely from informational security or another field of an IT.""One area for improvement in Trend Vision One - Cloud Security is marketing; in particular, Trend Vision should update the marketing documentation. The information needs to be more comprehensive.""Securing S3 using Trend Vision One - Cloud Security can cost too much. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has a tool that requires lots of privileges. From my understanding, it's only for static application testing, so they need to add dynamic application testing, and there should be more collaboration with the application testing tools on the market. We have not used this product, and I don't know if they plan to decommission it or something. They should focus on application security because this tool's unique feature is multi-cloud support. However, they should improve integration with tools for these kinds of use cases, especially application security and dynamic scanning. For example, I would like it to support Dell SecureOps. I'd also like to see some enhancements to API gateway security."
