My client is very familiar with and satisfied with Seqrite. They have a long history of using the solution and find it to be the best option available.
The overall performance of the solution is better than the competition.
The cost of the solution can be improved.
The trial version of Seqrite Endpoint Security can be longer so potential customers have enough time to evaluate.
I have been using the solution for six months.
The solution is stable.
I have not used the solution for long and therefore I give the scalability a five out of ten.
The solution has no issues currently, but if I have trouble, I raise the ticket, and their technical team quickly responds and solves our problem.
We previously used Siemens tech and Sophos before switching to Seqrite Endpoint Security. Some of our clients are still using Siemens and Sophos because they are familiar with those solutions and are not able to easily change to a different solution. Some clients are trying to change and for those clients, we provide information about Seqrite Endpoint Security.
I give the initial setup an eight out of ten. The installation is not difficult and only takes a few minutes.
The implementation was completed in-house.
The licensing fee is 200 Bangladeshi Taka per client per year.
I give the solution a six out of ten because I do not have much experience using the solution yet to properly provide an overall rating.
I recommend the solution to others.
Generally, we use Seqrite Endpoint Security for antivirus purposes. We have implemented certain policies for data popping and blocking the ransomware. Also, we are getting the data for asset management.
Seqrite Endpoint Security provides external protection in terms of hard drives. It has a very good logging facility. The reaction time for the policy we implement on the servers to connect to the endpoint is very fast.
When we fire any employee connected remotely over the internet, we need a security feature that blocks the system and the device.
I have been using Seqrite Endpoint Security for almost seven to eight months.
We implemented Seqrite Endpoint Security just seven months ago, and till now, we are happy with the solution's stability.
We have implemented Seqrite Endpoint Security for 1,000 users. We are already in the process of implementing it for 5,000 users because we have 5,000 plus users across the world.
The solution’s initial setup is straightforward.
The solution’s deployment was done in-house in our organization.
You need to pay for a yearly license for Seqrite Endpoint Security, which is expensive.
We are using the latest version of Seqrite Endpoint Security.
Overall, I rate Seqrite Endpoint Security an eight out of ten.
Endpoint Security's best features are inventory, asset management, and quick scanning.
Endpoint Security would be improved by adding DLP.
I've been using Seqrite Endpoint Security for more than three years.
Endpoint Security is stable and performs well.
Endpoint Security is scalable.
Seqrite's technical support is satisfactory.
Positive
I've also used Apex One, but Endpoint Security is more user-friendly.
The initial setup was straightforward, and deployment took around thirty minutes.
We had assistance from a vendor team.
Endpoint Security is cheaper than Trend Micro - I'd rate it 4.5 out of five on price.
I would give Endpoint Security a rating of nine out of ten.
We primarily use the solution for security purposes.
The overall performance of the server and the dashboard are the most interesting aspects of the solution.
It is stable and reliable.
The pricing could be a bit lower. It needs to be less expensive so that smaller companies would be able to afford it.
It needs to offer more customization capabilities.
I've only used the solution for a couple of months. I'm testing some things out for my organization. While this is a new solution, I do have 13 years of experience in the IT profession.
The product is stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze.
I have used Trend Micro in the past. That was at a different company. We are using something else at this company.
We are still in the process of testing the solution. It is not fully installed.
The pricing could always be lowered for smaller companies. It would help them find room for it in their budgets.
We are end-users and are just testing the product to see if it is a good fit.
The solution automatically updates so that it is always on the latest version.
I'd rate the product eight out of ten.
We deployed Seqrite in our company, for getting anti-virus and IP protection.
We are approximately a 60-person strong company, with 80% Windows and 20% Mac machines.
We are spread across two offices in India, and working 100% remote since March 2020, and plan to continue in the same way.
We were primarily looking to have a good antivirus solution, with other IP features. We wanted to have protection across a range of devices like Windows, Macs, etc. It would mean that we don't go for individual licenses for both Windows/Mac machines.
We were excited about the cloud-based management features of Seqrite and were looking to use the same. The overall goal was to have a single source of truth and dashboard for getting hold of all security checkpoints in the company.
It has been a pain since we installed it. Seqrite doesn't work at all on macOS. Here is our experience summary on macOS:
In terms of features, there is nothing that is usable so far and we are deeply regretting our decision.
This software claims to have a lot of features, which sounds really good to have and make good use of, but because of our struggles in getting it to work correctly, we were not able to move ahead.
We are currently busy researching on our own and trying to make this software work for the next three years.
In case it works, we are looking to use features like USB blocking, file upload alerts, and other antivirus features as well, but this software has to work first.
Integrity is compromised, they should accept a bug in the software and promptly provide a simple fix, like on Macs disabling Web Security will fix the internet issues.
A handbook of known issues and quick fixes should be given so that troubleshooting and frustration are less.
We were told, that Seqrite takes less than a minute to deploy on any machine, and is cloud-based management. On issues, we were told that an IT guy should be there in the company to handle such things too or dedicate a person to work with Seqrite support on these challenges. If you are a small remote company like us, think on these points too, and how much bandwidth you have for IT support.
We have been using Seqrite Endpoint Security for between two and three weeks.
The stability is zero. Seqrite doesn't work, and the company doesn't accept the problems. We spent a lot of time with support to stabilize Macs, as of now situation is
- It's working on older macs (without fingerprint scanner), but with WebSecurity disabled. Macs work with websecurity enabled, but internet can go away anytime. We can't afford this randomness.
- We spent many days on our Macs already, so gave up on the fingerprint scanner issue. Currently, not planning to install it on macs with TouchID.
Overall, our situation is tragedically comic, as we are hesitant to buy more licenses, because we lost faith in the product. We are not getting a refund of our existing licenses, as Seqrite support will not fix the issue, and will never accept it as well. So we are in a partial deployment in company as of now. We are scared to ask feedback from employees, as it will make a joke of such security software, and any future deployments of any other similar software will be taken negatively.
We are quite negative, as this could only function well if it works. We are struggling to get it working properly.
There is zero support. They will blame you, say that your machine is faulty, or your internet is faulty, but "there is no bug in Seqrite" according to them.
We spent multiple working days/weeks with Seqrite support. They are not trained/educated enough to guide us promptly on these issues. We faced similar issues on all Mac machines, and we were able to find a fix in two or three days. We wished that Seqrite had told us the same, which would have saved our bandwidth in fighting the ISP for internet quality and getting frustrated with a random Internet outage.
Overall, the company forces support on you, and they will never accept any of the issues in their software.
We did not use another solution prior to this one.
The initial setup was not straightforward at all. Still, it is a struggle and we are forced to stay locked for the next three years, as there is no refund given.
The vendor team was used to deploy, and they were not accepting the problems that came post-deployment.
We have no ROI with this product.
There is no option to refund the money and unfortunately, we bought a three-year license, seeing that Quick Heal is a long-established player in the market.
We evaluated Sophos but we selected Seqrite because it was less costly and had more features.
My final advice is to get Seqrite for two or three machines to start with. If you are planning to deploy for the whole company, especially test Macs, although we are facing issues with Windows as well. Gradually add licenses, if things go well.
Be prepared to spend a lot of time with support.
Seqrite Endpoint Security's focus on the SMB sector is well-suited for companies without static IPs or VPNs, as it allows for effective internal traffic monitoring and control. The categorization feature is handy for managing website access, and the point-to-point VPN option provides additional security for specific scenarios.
The solution is easy to manage, and applying rules is very easy. Also, the UI is very user-friendly.
The solution’s processing is slow. There are a lot of load performance issues when we load the stacker at low NPC. The solution could be made light.
Seqrite Endpoint Security offers comprehensive protection for all endpoints, including Android and Mac devices. This is becoming increasingly important as more schools and businesses adopt these platforms. Additionally, Seqrite Endpoint Security is easy to implement and manage, making it an ideal solution for organizations of all sizes.
I have been using Seqrite Endpoint Security as a system integrator for three to four years.
The product is stable.
The solution is highly scalable. You need to purchase an additional license.
The application is suitable for small and medium businesses.
Support is locally managed in a call center in India. Once an issue is submitted, they are very proactive in addressing it. They are constantly working on complaints, so there are no issues in support for anything else. It is easy to maintain, install, and run, with readily available support.
Positive
Seqrite offers local HR personnel through which we can quickly get guys' numbers whenever needed.
The initial setup is easy.
The deployment takes about 15 to 20 minutes, whereas the client can be deployed within two to three minutes.
The solution is cheaper compared to Zoho and other multinational products. It's cheaper.
The solution has a yearly license, which covers all features.
The solution’s maintenance is easy. It can be centrally loaded. Centralized installation enables a single setup for all devices. The solution provides comprehensive protection across your entire network with a single gateway.
There is a general lack of awareness about firewalls in India, even among IT professionals and businesses. This lack of understanding hinders the implementation and utilization of firewalls to their full potential. To address this issue, we need to raise awareness about the functionalities and capabilities of firewalls among users, businesses, and IT professionals. Once people know the benefits of firewalls, the demand for firewall training and GUI enhancements will naturally increase.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
Seqrite Endpoint Security is a good solution.
The solution needs to improve stability.
I have been using the solution for three years.
I rate Seqrite Endpoint Security's stability an eight out of ten.
The product is scalable. We have around 75 users for it.
The tool's deployment was easy and took only half an hour to complete. One resource is enough to handle the deployment and maintenance process.
We deployed the tool in-house.
I rate Seqrite Endpoint Security a ten out of ten.
Seqrite Endpoint Security is being used solely for endpoint protection.
The solution's current features include antivirus, web filtering, file activity monitoring, PAM, firewall, IDS/IPS, and DLP. Though I'm not familiar with the whole solution, it is good. However, there are new release notes in the current one or the new one, Seqrite Endpoint Security 8.1.
The product or service could be improved by incorporating SIEM integrations to enable the collection of logs. Also, the solution's threat hunting and virus detection capabilities have room for improvement.
Since in our company, we haven't deployed the latest version of the solution. I won't be able to comment on what needs to be included in the solution's next release. They have an update for the solution's DLP for the new features. They also have an update for the solution's multi-factor authenticator. The SIEM integrations in the solution also have a scope for improvement.
Our company currently uses Seqrite Endpoint Security 7.6, and we plan to renew it for Seqrite Endpoint Security 8.1 soon. The company has been using this solution for four years now. Our company is a user of the solution.
Stability-wise, I rate the solution between eight and a half to nine out of ten.
Overall, each of the endpoint protection solutions have antivirus or endpoint security, possesses its own characteristics that cannot be compared. It would be like comparing an apple to an apple.
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten. My company has a total of 750 people using the solution.
I did contact the solution's technical support team. It was included in the proposal stating that Seqrite Endpoint Security will provide us 24/7 support except on the weekends. I rate the solution's technical support team nine and a half out of ten since whenever we have issues, they answer and fix them. Also, the solution has not presented us with any tough incidents or challenges.
Positive
Since I've been working abroad for quite some time and considering the daily use cases, I've been using other solutions like Kaspersky. While Kaspersky may be a good solution in general, it is not the best option for use in a network since it is quite heavy. In comparison, Seqrite, which is only known in the Philippines, is not as popular abroad. When I worked overseas, I only heard about Symantec and Trend Micro. So, I can say that Kaspersky is a better choice than Seqrite.
The initial setup process for the solution is quite easy. The solution's deployment process was cloud-based.
One person is responsible for maintaining the solution, which involves checking the dashboard and conducting other related activities, such as identifying outdated or disconnected endpoints and detecting potential threats. So, two people are involved in the daily maintenance of the solution.
We have our own technical team for the deployment process. Also, it was done with the guidelines of our authorized distributor.
As per the suggestions from one of the experts we know, it is advisable to make a proper comparison with the local vendors instead of solely relying on online prices, which are often higher and quite expensive. Price-wise, presently, Seqrite is still the lowest.
We are presently evaluating other solutions and comparing them to Seqrite Endpoint Security because we may have become too comfortable with it and not considered other solutions. As a result, it's possible that there are certain features or capabilities present in other solutions that are not available in Seqrite Endpoint Security. In short, maybe we are comfortable with, let's say, ninety percent, and then there is ten percent that Seqrite is not capturing. So, maybe we'll try to use the solutions which are the competitors of Seqrite, which we are not using in our current setup. As of now, we cannot decide which solution to choose because Seqrite Endpoint Security has antivirus, next-generation, and something like that. Basically, we are in the process of doing a competitive analysis between the current solution we have and its competitors or other solutions.
Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
