Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Microsoft Sentinel provides the capability to integrate different log sources. On top of having several data connectors in place, you can also do integration with a threat intelligence platform to enhance and enrich the data that's available. You can collect as many logs and build all the use cases.""Sentinel pricing is good""One of the most valuable features of Microsoft Sentinel is that it's cloud-based.""The main benefit is the ease of integration.""The most valuable feature is the alert notifications, which are categorized by severity levels: informational, low, medium, and high.""The connectivity and analytics are great.""The UI-based analytics are excellent.""The Log analytics are useful."

"I really like the seamless integration with the AWS account structure. It can even be made mandatory as part of the landing zone. These are great features. And there's a single pane of glass for the entire account.""The most valuable feature of AWS Security Hub is the ability to track when monitoring is not enabled on any of my resources.""The most valuable features of the solution are the scanning of all the cloud environments and most of the compliances available in the cloud.""AWS Security Hub has very good integration features. It allows for AWS native services integration, and it helps us to integrate some of the services outside of AWS. They have partners, such as Amazon Preferred Network Partners (APN). If you have different security tools around APN, we can integrate those findings with AWS Security Hub reducing the need to refer to different portals or different UIs. You can have AWS Security Hub act as a single common go-to dashboard.""Finding out if your infrastructure is secure is a valuable feature.""AWS Security Hub provides comprehensive alerts about potential compliance issues with CIS standards. The integration with third-party tools is another excellent feature. All our workloads are on AWS.""Cloudposse is a valuable feature as it guarantees my security.""The platform has valuable features for security."

"Exabeam Fusion SIEM has a good performance and more advantages than traditional solutions.""The most valuable feature of Exabeam Fusion SIEM is the easy-to-use user interface.""The solution's initial setup process is easy.""The setup is not difficult. It was easy.""The way it can connect with AWS is very useful, and the integrations are pretty good.""The advanced analytics has a really great overview of user behavior.""It's a very user-friendly product and it's a very comprehensive technology.""Timeline based analysis; good platform support"

Cons
"If Azure Sentinel had the ability to ingest Azure services from different tenants into another tenant that was hosting Azure Sentinel, and not lose any metadata, that would be a huge benefit to a lot of companies.""The dashboards can be improved. Creating dashboards is very easy, but the visualizations are not as good as Microsoft Power BI. People who are using Microsoft Power BI do not like Sentinel's dashboards.""We do see continuous improvement all the time, however, I haven't got a specific feature that is lacking or not well designed.""The reporting could be more structured.""If their UI was a bit more streamlined and easy to find when I need it, then that would be a great improvement.""The KQL query does not function effectively with Windows 11 machines, and in the majority of machine-based investigations, KQL queries are essential for organizing the data during investigations.""Sentinel still has some anomalies. For example, sometimes when we write a query for log analysis with KQL, it doesn't give us the data in a proper way... Also, the fields or columns could be improved. Sometimes, it is not giving the desired results and there is a blank field.""They could use some kind of workbook. There is some limitation doing the editing and creating the workbook."

More Microsoft Sentinel Cons →

"AWS Security Hub's configuration and integration are areas where it lacks and needs to improve.""From an improvement perspective, there is a need to add more compliance since, right now, AWS Security Hub only provides four to five compliances to control the tool.""The solution should be easier to learn and use""Although AWS Security Hub does a periodic scan of your overall infrastructure, it doesn't do it in real time.""It is not flexible for multi-cloud environments.""One aspect that could be improved in the solution is its adaptability to different markets and geopolitical restrictions. In certain regions like Thailand, specific services from certain countries or providers, such as AWS or Azure, might be limited or blocked. It also needs improvement in would require configuring the solution more adaptable to AWS infrastructure and function.""Security needs to be measured based on their own criteria. We can't add custom criteria specific to our organization. For example, having an S3 bucket publicly available might be flagged as a critical alert, but it might not be critical in a sandbox environment. So, it gets flagged as critical, which becomes a false positive. So, customization options and creating custom dashboards would be areas for improvement.""Whenever my team gets some alarms from the central team, my team needs to initiate whether it's a real or false trigger. The central team needs to keep adjusting to the parameters or at least the concerned IPs, whether it's really from the company's pool of IPs, so the trigger process can be improved. In the next release of AWS Security Hub, I'd like a better dashboard that could result in better alert visibility."

More AWS Security Hub Cons →

"The only problem is that the UI is not very impressive.""Updating the new release of Exabeam Fusion SIEM takes time and slows our performance.""Adding to the number of certifications that they have, for example, ISO 27001, would be helpful.""The organzation is rigid and not flexible in the way they operate""They need to focus on more of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and coverage. They claim they cover about 70 to 80%. I'm not sure if it's really quite that much, however.""We still have questions surrounding hardware deployment.""The initial setup of Exabeam Fusion SIEM is complex because it needs to integrate with the SIEM solution, but after this is complete it is straightforward.""We had a large volume right from the beginning and they weren't quite prepared for that. That's something that they should think about when it comes to customers that have a large volume to start off with."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It comes with a Microsoft subscription which the customer has, so they don't have to invest somewhere else."
  • "It is a consumption-based license model. bands at 100, 200, 400 GB per day etc. Azure Sentinel Pricing | Microsoft Azure"
  • "Good monthly operational cost model for the detection and response outcomes delivered, M365 logs don't count toward the limits which is a good benefit."
  • "I have had mixed feedback. At one point, I heard a client say that it sometimes seems more expensive. Most of the clients are on Office 365 or M365, and they are forced to take Azure SIEM because of the integration."
  • "It is kind of like a sliding scale. There are different tiers of pricing that go from $100 per day up to $3,500 per day. So, it just kind of depends on how much data is being stored. There can be additional costs to the standard license other than the additional data. It just kind of depends on what other services you're spinning up in Azure, or if you're using something like Azure log analytics."
  • "I am just paying for the log space with Azure Sentinel. It costs us about $2,000 a month. Most of the logs are free. We are only paying money for Azure Firewall logs because email logs or Azure AD logs are free to use for us."
  • "Sentinel is a bit expensive. If you can figure a way of configuring it to meet your needs, then you can find a way around the cost."
  • "Azure Sentinel is very costly, or at least it appears to be very costly. The costs vary based on your ingestion and your retention charges."

  • "The price of the solution is not very competitive but it is reasonable."
  • "The price of AWS Security Hub is average compared to other solutions."
  • "The pricing is fine. It is not an expensive tool."
  • "AWS Security Hub's pricing is pretty reasonable."
  • "There are multiple subscription models, like yearly, monthly, and packaged."
  • "AWS Security Hub is not an expensive tool. I would consider it to be a cheap solution. AWS Security Hub follows the PAYG pricing model, meaning you will have to pay for whatever you use."
  • "Security Hub is not an expensive solution."

  • "They have a great model for pricing that can be based either on user count or gigabits per day."
