Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Easily integrates with third-party tools""The most valuable features of the solution are the scanning of all the cloud environments and most of the compliances available in the cloud.""The best feature of AWS Security Hub is that you can get compliance or your cloud's current security posture.""The platform has valuable features for security.""I find all of the features to be highly valuable.""AWS Security Hub provides comprehensive alerts about potential compliance issues with CIS standards. The integration with third-party tools is another excellent feature. All our workloads are on AWS.""Cloudposse is a valuable feature as it guarantees my security.""AWS Security Hub has very good integration features. It allows for AWS native services integration, and it helps us to integrate some of the services outside of AWS. They have partners, such as Amazon Preferred Network Partners (APN). If you have different security tools around APN, we can integrate those findings with AWS Security Hub reducing the need to refer to different portals or different UIs. You can have AWS Security Hub act as a single common go-to dashboard."

"It is scalable, stable, and can detect any threat on a machine. It uses artificial intelligence and can lock down any virus.""The mean time to detect has been reduced.""We like PingSafe's vulnerability assessment and management features, and its vulnerability databases.""The multi-cloud support is valuable. They are expanding to different clouds. It is not restricted to only AWS. It allows us to have different clouds on one platform.""The ease of use of the platform is very nice.""PingSafe can integrate all your cloud accounts and resources you create in the AWS account, We have set it up to scan the AWS transfer services, EC2, security groups, and GitHub.""PingSafe offers three key features: vulnerability management notifications, cloud configuration assistance, and security scanning.""The solution is a good alerting tool."

Cons
"Whenever my team gets some alarms from the central team, my team needs to initiate whether it's a real or false trigger. The central team needs to keep adjusting to the parameters or at least the concerned IPs, whether it's really from the company's pool of IPs, so the trigger process can be improved. In the next release of AWS Security Hub, I'd like a better dashboard that could result in better alert visibility.""One aspect that could be improved in the solution is its adaptability to different markets and geopolitical restrictions. In certain regions like Thailand, specific services from certain countries or providers, such as AWS or Azure, might be limited or blocked. It also needs improvement in would require configuring the solution more adaptable to AWS infrastructure and function.""The telemetry doesn't always go into the control center. When you have multiple instances running in AWS, you need a control tower to take feeds from Security Hub and analyze your results. Sometimes exemptions aren't passed between the control tower and Security Hub. The configuration gets mixed up or you don't get the desired results.""The solution lacks self-sufficiency.""The solution will only give you insight if you have configure rule enabled. It should work more like Prisma Cloud and Dome9 which have a better approach.""It's not user-friendly. Too much going on, too many unnecessary findings, not very visual. You can't do much compared to other similar tools that are cheaper and better.""The user interface, graphs, and dashboards of the solution could improve in the future. They are not very sophisticated and could use an update.""Security needs to be measured based on their own criteria. We can't add custom criteria specific to our organization. For example, having an S3 bucket publicly available might be flagged as a critical alert, but it might not be critical in a sandbox environment. So, it gets flagged as critical, which becomes a false positive. So, customization options and creating custom dashboards would be areas for improvement."

"We use PingSafe and also SentinelOne. If PingSafe integrated some of the endpoint security features of SentinelOne, it would be the perfect one-stop solution for everything. We wouldn't need to switch between the products. At my organization, I am responsible for endpoint security and vulnerability management. Integrating both functions into one application would be ideal because I could see all the alerts, heat maps, and reports in one console.""Their search feature could be better.""It took us a while to configure the software to work well in this type of environment, as the support documents were not always clear.""We had a glitch in PingSafe where it fed us false positives in the past.""Customized queries should be made easier to improve PingSafe.""There is room for improvement in the current active licensing model for PingSafe.""It does not bring much threat intel from the outside world. All it does is scan. If it can also correlate things, it will be better.""The cost has the potential for improvement."
