We performed a comparison between Check Point Infinity and Skybox Security Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, ESET and others in Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)."Infinity has come to give us total protection."
"It provides fantastic visibility of security incidents through deconstructing and dissecting the threat's infection protocol."
"The initial implementation was accomplished easily and without deployment problems."
"The most valuable features of the solution stem from factors like ease of use, visibility, and cost to the enterprise."
"Check Point Infinity's threat prevention capabilities benefitted our organization."
"New Check Point technologies can be found via this portal."
"A notable aspect that I appreciate is their ongoing effort to redesign the portal, giving it a fresh and centralized appearance."
"The sandblast threat emulation is great."
"Skybox deployment is simple, and it's very useful."
"instead of asking for firewall rules which may or may not be relevant, or could already be there, or could be over-permissioned, Skybox can be used to map out the resources that that application is going to use and provide the exact rules that an application would require to function correctly. If the traffic isn't able to flow for the application, if it's erring out, Skybox can be used to troubleshoot that and say, "All right, where is the traffic being stopped and why, and how do I fix that.""
"Correlates logs and threats and prioritizes; provides network maps;p provides change result context and resulting vulnerability."
"The revalidation and policy recertifications are most valuable."
"It has a good policy management feature and can provide customers with good quality outputs."
"It's very supportive and very user-friendly."
"The way that it's built with three-tier architecture, it makes it very horizontally scalable, so I can have multiple fallbacks. If one machine does fall offline, there are four other machines that are doing the exact same job to pick it up"
"Change Manager is most important because of the impact on each other of a network change or a firewall change. We want to understand this and to know, beforehand, what the impact of a change will be. We are a large network so that is a very important tool."
"Alert fatigue is a common issue with platforms that have strong detection capabilities. Implementing more filtering and prioritization mechanisms can help address this issue, ensuring that security teams can focus on the most critical threats."
"We need improvement around the Smart-1 cloud solution."
"The solution's reports should be easy to understand and work with."
"There is an issue with high agent size, which impacts performance."
"Check Point Infinity's web application is sometimes a little slow."
"Technical support is pretty delayed."
"The licensing model for Check Point Infinity is not clear."
"The tool's technical support lags."
"If anything could be improved it would be staying on top of the collector scripts, but I understand that's a very tough challenge."
"The price is costly, and I hope they can reduce the cost."
"The solution needs improvement in firewall configuration checks. I would also like to see more configuration checks for Forcepoint and for other non-supported firewalls."
"The tool does not offer options for customization."
"The most recent update was not tested with all of the vendors before it was released, so some of the features are misbehaving."
"The primary room for improvement would be to enable a web interface, which is not something which is there in the product. This is supposed to have come a year, a year and a half ago, but still has failed to come out. It still needs a client application to be installed on a workstation to be able to access that server and then run these reports. So I cannot extend that access to anybody. It has to be one administrator all the time. So unlike a web interface, where you can give multiple users simultaneous access and generate the various reports, that isn't a possibility at the moment."
"I've had issues with licensing where, when they were expiring and I asked for the updated licenses, I would the wrong ones. I think their process needs to be straightened out a little bit - I don't know if they fixed it already, it has been awhile. It wasn't as straightforward as it could have been."
"Skybox Security Suite's attack surface management feature needs improvement."
