Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Configurations between FortiGate and FortiSwitch have to link to each other. We need configuration. The configuration is not like a Cisco switch. It has a unique configuration.""Fortinet FortiSwitch - Data Center's scalability is good.""A valuable feature of FortiGate is its management integrity.""What I like about the solution is that it can be accessed anywhere.""I like the solution's technical support. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten.""The solution has made configuration and setup very, very easy.""We are able to monitor everything that is happening on our network.""All the features are necessary, like tracking evidence and IPS. However, I appreciate the ability to connect the logs and the dashboard functionality."

"It's stable and reliable.""The scalability is excellent. It's one of the aspects of the solution that is quite good.""The solution is certainly scalable.""I would rate this solution a 10 out of 10 for scalability.""The platform is very stable in terms of consistency and reliability.""Juniper supports all our connectivity infrastructure in our datacenter, supporting optimal availability and performance for services.""Juniper EX Series is part of the Junos operating system and has a candidate configuration feature, which means changes are not immediately applied. It has a consistent command structure across all platforms and can handle both layer-three routing and layer-two switching. Additionally, the Junos OS offers virtualization options and support for multi-chassis and fabric switching. Overall, the Juniper EX Series is a versatile and powerful solution.""Junos OS is extremely flexible and easy to pick up."

Cons
"Fortinet FortiSwitch - Data Center needs to improve its UI and stability.""The solution can improve by upgrading QSFP+, it is very limited and must be supported more than it is now. If we need FortiSwitches to support all the QSFP ports our budgets would have to be very large.""The UI of the firewall and reporting could be improved.""Before using FortiSwitch, you need several certifications.""The solution’s pricing could be improved.""Routing is an area in Fortinet FortiSwitch with certain shortcomings where improvements are needed.""The product must improve the latency in the management center.""With IT products, there is always room for improvement."

More Fortinet FortiSwitch - Data Center Cons →

"One potential drawback of the Juniper EX Series has been that those without experience using a command-line interface (CLI) may find it intimidating. However, Junos is working on improving this by offering tools, such as Juniper Mist with Wired Assurance and Apstra. Additionally, the graphical user interface (GUI) could be improved as it has been considered lackluster across the board in Junos.""The only issue that we have with Juniper Ethernet Switches is the firmware because it is not stable.""The packet channelizing feature should be improved.""The protocols can be tunneled, but on a global basis, not on an interface, and this is a feature that should be added.""The initial setup for Juniper switches is complex. Juniper has a new program that solves that problem a little bit, but it is expensive, so I don't use it. It is Juniper Mesh, Juniper Wire, or something like that where you plug in a switch, and it goes out to their cloud, finds a config, and brings it down. So, you can do everything cloud-based, but there is a fee for that. It is expensive, so I've never used it. If we were starting, we would try to do something like that. It is more for a large enterprise for managing hundreds of switches versus what we're doing. They should make its price more cost-effective or include it for new or smaller companies.""The operating system, Junos OS, often has bugs which forces rollbacks or additional upgrades to resolve.""You need to make a few local configurations to work with the solution. We have faced issues with the tool's stability.""Juniper EX Series Ethernet Switches lack to offer the latest management tools."
