We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We have not encountered any issues in the locations where the product has been deployed. I am impressed with its performance and pricing.""The velocity of the process is the most valuable feature.""Huawei switches come in small, medium, and large capacities and can be used for monitoring and switching.""They last quite a while.""If you're a small one-on-one organization, then cost-effective-wise, I would recommend it.""The required functionalities align with telecom requirements and have improved from a capacity perspective.""Pricing-wise, Huawei is quite good.""The functionality is basically the same as Cisco."

"The Juniper EX Series's most valuable feature is its robustness. Additionally, it is easy to use and great GUI.""One of the nicest things about Juniper switches is they work well with other vendor products. When you have to go into a situation where other vendor switches are present, you can make it work.""I like the VLAN capabilities, and the Junos interface is easy to use.""The most valuable feature is that the CLI is the same on all of the Juniper devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.""The Juniper Ethernet switch feature I find the most valuable is reliability.""The thing that sets Juniper apart from most switches is that when you're in the command line and you make a configuration change, you just write the command and then say "commit confirmed minutes". For example, I'm configuring a switch here in my office, which is five miles away, and I say, "commit confirmed 5". If I can't get back to the interface within five minutes to be able to make sure the switch came up, it rolls back to the previous configuration. This way I do not get locked out, or the switch doesn't get messed up because of the incorrect configuration. That's an automatic feature, which is pretty slick. I haven't seen that feature with other vendors that I've worked with. That's probably my most favorite feature.""The product is flexible and easy to set up.""This is a lower cost product with better features than the competition."

Cons
"The product’s pricing needs improvement. It could be more stable as well.""Presently, the solution doesn't offer any AI integrations with the product hardware.""The technical support is a bit difficult to work with if you don't speak Mandarin.""Huawei Ethernet Switches are scalable but can be improved.""The solution's marketing could be better. It spends money on marketing but doesn't highlight the most important features. Sometimes, it provides too much information, which can confuse customers.""Deploying Huawei Ethernet Switches in an organization offers advantages, especially if the decision is made early in the process and the company opts for a single-vendor approach. This simplifies implementation and customization, often resulting in lower prices and tailored solutions from Huawei. However, excessive customization can lead to support issues and challenges in knowledge transfer during employee turnover.""The product's stability has certain shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required.""It’s hard to get technical support."

More Huawei Ethernet Switches Cons →

"The only issue that we have with Juniper Ethernet Switches is the firmware because it is not stable.""Juniper Ethernet Switches' operating systems get corrupted when the power fails. They have to improve this issue. I may have to use a newer version.""The Virtual Chassis Fabric is kind of complicated to troubleshoot sometimes. On the MPLS side, they're good — they're fine for the pseudo-wires and stuff—but they need more work on the LAN. It is difficult to troubleshoot their LAN technologies like Virtual Chassis.""The stability could be better. We find, for example, Cisco, to be more stable.""Support could be improved.""The price is in the intermediate range. It is not overly expensive, but also not cheap. It could stand improvement.""The price could be a bit lower.""The technical support from Juniper Ethernet Switches could be better."
