Find out what your peers are saying about Dell Technologies, NetApp, Pure Storage and others in All-Flash Storage."What I really like about this program, is that it is easy to use and easy to configurate."
"The system allows for seamless learning experiences, facilitating quick and easy cloning of environments within minutes."
"Overall stability is very good. It is a very stable solution."
"Offers excellent features like efficient data reduction, a reliable SafeMode, and a great support model for continuous assistance and updates."
"Pure has signature security technology, which cannot be deleted, even if you are an administrator."
"Pure FlashArray X NVMe will quickly overcome all the hurdles you face, including network and latency issues."
"It has benefited my organization because it has reduced time to insights."
"It's helped us because we've changed fundamentally what we talk about. We don't talk about storage and different tiers of storage anymore nor do we talk about servers. We talk now about applications and how applications impact the business and end users."
"Has good capacity, is effective and easy to manage."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"The initial setup is straightforward. Deployment takes about a day."
"The customer support is helpful."
"The most valuable features are the five chips architecture and the purpose-built NVMe hard disk drive. Additionally, the IOPS feature is good."
"The most valuable aspects encompass a comprehensive set of common features, such as NetFlow technology, hyper-micro, and hyper-application functionalities."
"The platform’s most valuable features are speed, accuracy, and encryption."
"The product has the best compression and encryption features. The most valuable features I have found in the tool are its performance and cost-effectiveness. While Huawei OceanStor Dorado may not always be chosen for its features compared to other brands like Dell, HPE, etc., it is often selected due to its affordability. Customers opt for Huawei OceanStor Dorado primarily because it offers similar performance features as other brands at a lower cost."
"It's actually shaking hands with the workflow solutions much better than any other storage."
"We would like to see more visibility into garbage collection and CPU performance in the GUI."
"I'd like to see the product implement active replication for vehicles such as VMware."
"They could add more support for file storage and different types of storage."
"In the next release, I would like to see real-time analytics for further insight into consumption models."
"You cannot tag a LUN with a description, and that should be improved. What I like on the Unity side is that when I expand LUNs or do things, there is an information field on the LUN. This is the Information field that you can tag on your LUNs to let yourself know, "Hey, I've added this much space on this date". Pure lacks that ability. So, you don't have a mechanism that's friendly for tracking your data expansions on the LUN and for adding any additional information. That's a downside for me."
"We have run into a couple of instances recently where we are running out of space. So we have had to buy some more packs for it and they have deployed fine and it has increased smoothly."
"In the future, I would like to see integration with enterprise backup systems."
"It is on the expensive side."
"The initial setup was very complex."
"It should have easy connectivity with the AIX, however, I've found that with AIX, it has some issues and due to this, we need to remove the exact fiber card sometimes and then plug it in again so that it can connect with the AIX systems."
"The speeds of the disks themselves need to be faster. The disks are not flash. When we opened our hard drive from the inclusion, I saw a converter, and it's not entirely flash."
"There could be local support services available for the platform. Additionally, they should provide a bundled license, including all protection and encryption rules."
"For future releases, it would be beneficial for OceanStor Dorado to integrate advanced analytics and AI-driven functionalities for predictive maintenance and performance optimization."
"Huawei OceanStor Dorado's biggest weakness is its lack of cloud integration."
"In additional features, it would be easier to do snapshots on a regular basis. So, like, a new feature that would allow you to take snapshots every hour."
"I would like to see them improve their IOPS per second to match their contemporaries in the industry."
"It has to be flexible according to the customer's requirements. It has to be aligned with the customer business and the business environment."
