We performed a comparison between Kemp LoadMaster and Loadbalancer.org based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Application Delivery Controllers (ADC) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."From my personal experience, many firewalls provide Load Balancing functionalities, but Kemp Loadmaster has a lot of features and functionalities like what you can configure. So there are a lot of features but we use only five percent of it."
"The feature I find most valuable is load balancing with different algorithms."
"Great web balancing and remote access balancing."
"It helps with efficiency and reactivity, in case of assistance needs."
"The most beneficial function of using the ADC is to ensure this resiliency."
"The user interface is very easy to work with."
"There is a simplicity to the setup and configuration."
"Mitigates content security policy issues."
"Loadbalancer.org is less complex than Citrix."
"Load balancing helps us distribute both incoming and outgoing data loads evenly among the servers, preventing overload on a single server."
"The user interface precludes need to be well versed with Linux IPVS command line. This make it easy for junior team members to participate in managing load balancing needs."
"We have about 30,000 connections going through at any one time and it's fine, it doesn't seem to sweat. It doesn't get overloaded."
"Loadbalancer is easy to use. It performs well, with low latency."
"The features I find valuable in this solution are the ease of managing the logs on the WAFs, the ease to identify break-in attempts into the network, the front-end firewall, and a more specific firewall."
"I found scalability in Loadbalancer.org valuable."
"The support we have received from Loadbalancer.org has been good."
"In my opinion, the layer seven loads balancing that we're mainly using for web servers, doesn't seem to pick up when there are issues at the application level."
"When we go serverless, we may again have to revisit this because the configuration needs to be changed. With this change, we can run into a lot of other configurations that we haven't got into, which involve additional expenses. It would be challenging to convince management to buy at that price point. It would be a balancing act of justifying that expense and the value, that is, how it is going to save a bit of time and make our platform secure. It can have better configuration ability. A lot of iterations happen when we have multiple servers pointing to the same domain. If we do not orchestrate carefully, it gets into a loop, which takes away the precious time of the user who is trying to subscribe to a service. It takes a little longer time to realize services as well as web pages."
"If I had to change something it would maybe be to have a little better reporting graphics that show more details in the reporting. It seems to be a little small in the graphic, and I'm not sure if possible but maybe a GUI page that one can use to monitor if any server goes down."
"Some of the support documentation seems to make assumptions that the person installing or configuring is experienced with the product or concepts."
"Overall, the Kemp LoadMaster has been an all-rounder great product and stable. The free trial and virtual edition make it a breeze for any potential customer to give it a spin before actually deciding to put it on the infrastructure or even talk to the CFO."
"If you want logging for SMTP traffic, you have to enable ESP, which requires you to define allowed IP addresses. That’s irritating, to say the least."
"Hardware version needs a dual power solution."
"We have experienced at least one problem with stability, although it was fixed with an upgrade."
"Possibly a more graphical overview page (with colors) to give a two second overview to see if everything is working fine."
"I would like a notification when a new version of the software is available. They told me to sign up for their newsletter, but I have not received any notification for a newer software version."
"Originally we had some stability issues with it, so they replaced it with a new box and it's fine."
"The interface from Loadbalancer.org should be improved."
"The configuration is somewhat complicated. Someone who does not know the solution may find this challenging."
"They're mostly designed to balance a particular type of traffic. I wanted to load balance DNS, and they just don't do it the way that we wanted to. So they're not used as DNS load balancers."
"Compared to the physical products, the solution's throughput is a little less."
"The automatic refresh of the System Overview webpage: It sometimes has an extra webpage reload (after a change) before you see it is executed. This can be confusing."

No experience with Loadbalancer.org, but having had experience with both F5 and Kemp, I would recommend Kemp by a mile. Their support org is first class and super responsive.
