We performed a comparison between Melissa Data Quality and SQL Power Data Quality based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Data Scrubbing Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Getting the most up to date address for our members. We like to keep in touch with membership a few times a year so we want to maintain up to date addresses to be sure they receive any information that we mail to them."
"We only use the one feature for the NAICS code. This allows our product users to know what industry a business is in."
"Through more accurate data, our marketing department has been able to increase delivery and conversion rates through email direct marketing initiatives."
"By using Melissa Data, we are able to scrub and verify, then better validate the end customer's address to ensure a more consistent delivery of products."
"Address parsing. Our other software does not have this functionality."
"The high value in this tool is its relatively low cost, ease of use, tight integration with SSIS, superior performance (compared to competitors), and attribute-level advanced survivor-ship logic."
"We use a Melissa API to access the data, so it easy to use, accurate, and fast."
"We like having the ability to write our own utilities/software to process our records and store the final output the way we want."
"The Nomo, select form, and so on are the most valuable features."
"It is a scalable solution. We have over 1,000 SQL Power Data Quality users in our organization."
"The solution is able to integrate with many systems and other products."
"Pricing is based on tiers, with each tier capped at a specified number of records processed. Once you go over the cap at one tier, you are automatically bumped to the next tier. However, they seem to count failed batch processes so it’s good to keep track of the number of records sent. They’ll fix the count when notified, but their system fails to detect actual successful processes versus failed processes."
"It would be nice if it also had a user interface, as it did in years past."
"Needs better email append coverage (but every vendor struggles with this)."
"More countries should be supported by Melissa."
"The billing structure does not seem very accurate. We’ve had issues with miscounted batch records processed"
"Speed of delivery/ease of use. They advertise a 24-hour, next business day turn time on data annotation, but I’ve found it is usually closer to 72 hours. This is still excellent, just make sure you add in the appropriate fluff to your delivery timelines."
"We have noticed that some of the emails and addresses return with confusing or incorrect codes, but for the most part, it is accurate."
"It could always be cheaper."
"The only area of improvement that we've come across within the solution was the portfolio roadmap creation. There's a bit of limitation there, but otherwise, the tool itself is very good."
"The normalization factor should be improved so that it is better scaled. It should be more user-friendly."
"Downtime issues should be improved."
