We compared NetSuite ERP and Oracle ERP Cloud-based solutions based on real user reviews. After reading the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
The best ERP solution depends on your specific business needs. NetSuite excels in cloud-based deployment, user-friendliness, and core ERP functions, making it ideal for businesses seeking quick and efficient setup. Oracle ERP shines with its extensive range of industry-specific modules, robust platform for integrations, and customization flexibility, catering to large enterprises' complex needs.
"It's integrated into everything well so you can navigate and use it in a very simple way."
"The inventory feature in NetSuite ERP is very valuable to me because it provides clear estimates about the depreciation of details and includes useful mobile modules."
"I would say that the solution is highly configurable."
"As NetSuite ERP is a cloud product, a valuable feature I found in it is the very friendly user interface. You can set up shortcuts within the applications for frequently used reports or navigation. You can also customize dashboards in NetSuite ERP. Another feature I found valuable in the solution is good reporting. It has many industry-standard reports focused on finance and inventory. I also like the seamless switching between production and test environments and that you can customize the environments within NetSuite ERP. For example, you can put banners on your test and production environments to differentiate or segregate the logins to prevent mistakes. The solution is pretty easy to use and navigate, and it's more of a lightweight software. I like that it's a cloud product, so work is done on the front end rather than the back end. There's also a community for NetSuite ERP where you can raise your queries and issues. You'll find other people sharing experiences about common issues so you can get quick fixes from the community."
"It is a very solid product for finance and procure-to-pay processes."
"Every year, they release a new version."
"NetSuite is significantly more affordable than Oracle EBS and offers a wider range of features than other OEMs."
"NetSuite is a better value than some competing solutions. The fee structure is simpler, and other ERP solutions don't offer as many options for configuration."
"Built-in business intelligence has real-time reporting features that are quite handy."
"The solution is approximately 70 percent scalable. We have more than 100 people using the solution in my organization."
"The entire solution operates online or on the cloud and this is a valuable feature of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP."
"It's easy to deploy, and we don't have to worry about upgrading anything."
"The main component is Oracle Financial. It is one of the most comprehensive financial solutions available on the market."
"Oracle ERP Cloud is a well-established and well-known product that is cost-effective for the customer."
"I like that Oracle ERP Cloud has a lot of ready-to-use products, making it easy to adopt."
"Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP has integrated the best features from various sources. For instance, it incorporates the strengths of HCM from PeopleSoft, PPM from another source and CRM from Salesforce."
"Improvement-wise, it should be more customizable. Currently, you can't enhance the product yourself in terms of development for any applications unless you've got a very strong and big development team. Those are the skills that are in very short supply."
"NetSuite is good for data management, but it's missing payroll features."
"It would be great if they offered localization for Central America."
"There is a lot of room for improvement. Multiple manufacturing features need to be updated on NetSuite. More functionalities need to be added. I think there are a lot of functionalities coming out for warehouse management systems and manufacturing automation via advanced manufacturing functionalities. I think they need to improve a little more on those aspects and make it easier on the scheduling aspect."
"The communication has been peculiar, and the overall commercial process has been less than satisfactory."
"What needs to be improved is the development in the other areas and other businesses that can use NetSuite."
"Many features such as local taxation and fund management are not there yet."
"An area for improvement in NetSuite ERP is its accounting functionality because it has certain limitations. You can't maintain sub-ledgers or post accrued expenses in sub-ledger forms, so you'll need to post in journals. The pricing is another area that can be improved in NetSuite ERP because the pricing was lower when it wasn't part of Oracle, but after Oracle acquired Netsuite and NetSuite ERP was offered as a cloud service, the price went up."
"If you go for the real-time process, the patch of work and the time to update the product will be too much."
"Localization of functionality for Europe and Latin American countries legal and fiscal requirements, reporting, and integration with tax authorities."
"In terms of areas for improvement, there are still a lot of other features that need to be incorporated into the future releases of Oracle ERP Cloud. We're hoping those would come soon because they're available in other ERP systems. For example, we used to have a lot of AME customizations in the BPM, but now we have a very limited scope, so it would be great if we could extend our scope. Currently, we are working with product teams to get through some of those solutions, and how we could implement them, so we have some workarounds to deal with, but we still have a long road ahead."
"The initial setup can be somewhat complex."
"I would like to see Oracle improve the automation of data entry."
"It should be built with less complexity and more ability for clients to add screens."
"Oracle can make the system more stable which includes some changes as some of the use cases were not available in Oracle's systems and the element’s value needed to be defined."
"The database is outdated and quite rigid."
