Users recommend automating certain processes, enhancing the user interface and documentation, and addressing compatibility.
"Saves a lot of time compared to imaging physical desktops."
"Proxmox allows us to achieve affordable performance while keeping high levels of data protection and flexibility."
"Proxmox is free, very stable, and doesn't require more resources for memory RAM. It's fine for a small data center."
"The feature that I have found most valuable is that its storage container, LVM, and everything else work out of the box."
"The most valuable feature of Proxmox VE is the linked clone."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is migration."
"One of the standout features of Proxmox VE is its meticulously crafted web user interface, which is not only highly efficient but also exceptionally clear and user-friendly."
"I have a program on my old machine with 380 events, but I need to create new events. This is much easier to do with VFXTHs, and I have the skills to do it. I also have two VPNs running on the old machine, which I can use to get started."
"The features in VMware vSphere data recovery are excellent. Sometimes I've deleted an entire server before and was able to recover the deleted VM. I just used some command line tools and I was able to restore the deleted VM."
"We can slide in new resources without any impact. We can do maintenance on our clusters without any impact to applications, and we have the flexibility of migrating those workloads to other data centers, when required, in the case of data center downtime."
"The solution saves cost."
"It gives us the ability to be running over 250+ VMs on five physical hosts and in various flavours of guest OSs."
"Virtualised automation is a useful feature."
"VMware vSphere has useful tools for management and support."
"The product offers good stability."
"The installation process is very straightforward."
"It might be interesting to have the ability to integrate with other cloud solutions."
"The solution can be improved by making it more secure and scalable."
"Since I face issues importing Windows OVA inside Proxmox VE, a clickable button should be added to select the OVA format and import it inside Proxmox VE."
"Proxmox VE can improve the management of virtual discs. For example, if my virtual disc is 200 GB and I want to decrease it is not easy. I have to do a lot of things to decrease the size of existing virtual machines. If the Proxmox VE team can make it easy for customers to instantly increase or decrease the virtual machine hard disc, it will be very helpful for me. However, the containers I can do it easily."
"The availability of the solution could be a bit better."
"The compatibility with non-English operating systems needs to be improved."
"It could have more security updates such as when a new threat is coming into market."
"The scalability could be better."
"The solution could be more stable."
"The biggest room for improvement would be just simplicity. It is very intuitive, but it needs somebody with a lot of IT background."
"The only way for it to be a complete product is if you integrate all the functionalities. Then you don't need any backup solution anymore and you can do it by yourself. Integration needs improvement. They should improve a lot of the functionality because normally it's half of a product. You're only protecting yourself against technical failures but not against any cyber threats or any other stuff."
"Security and patch-related items need improvement."
"The price is a big issue for us because the market is very competitive in our country, so we can't really push our VMware vSphere products because the customers will prefer to use something cheaper."
"The installation can take a long time, they need to improve on the simplicity and length of the installation."
"The only improvement that is needed that come to mind are improvements in the vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations management simplicity."
"It is expensive. They can improve the licensing cost for Cloud Director. They can also improve the integration with other applications and the metering feature, which is currently not flexible."
