Find out in this report how the two Deduplication Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."While the challenges posed by the difficulties were significant, they prompted the replacement of problematic components, resulting in the resolution of issues. Importantly, there were no substantial ongoing concerns. Regarding the overall performance, it has been consistently excellent."
"I am impressed with the tool's technical alliance with Veeam and Veritas."
"The initial setup gets easier the more you do it."
"The solution is very stable...The solution is very scalable."
"We find the pricing is reasonable."
"We rarely need their help. I would give their technical support an 8.5 out of ten. We are satisfied."
"The standout feature is its connectivity and robust support. They are easily easy to get hold of, making it convenient for us."
"The tool is easy to use, stable, and performs well, but it depends on the environment where it is deployed. It is leaning more toward huge enterprises where it is positioned. It needs to be as easy as others but addresses more complex requirements."
"Veritas NetBackup Appliance's most valuable feature is information backup."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is that it can be used in many different kinds of systems."
"Perhaps the most notable area for enhancement lies in the web interface for management. The current limitations in LDAP editing capabilities are not addressed in the UI, and I haven't observed any recent updates. It's possible that the new version of the DXI service incorporates improvements in the GUI, but I cannot confirm. While there is room for improvement in the current GUI, it remains a relatively minor issue. Overall, the system is comprehensive, covering aspects such as reports on latency and networking, leaving little room for additional enhancements in those areas."
"The product needs to improve performance while scaling out. It also needs to improve stability."
"NetBackup Appliance's pricing is reasonable, but it could be lower."
"The challenge arose due to a space issue. The issue was related to disk breaks, especially when power cuts occurred. One of the disks would break, leading to a loss of functionality."
"The only drawback for NetBackup, and of course for Veritas, is that they have stuck to the same environment and to the same UI - User Interface. This needs to be improved in future releases. It needs to be more dynamic."
"Sometimes, the user interface doesn't work smoothly."
"Technical support for this solution needs to be improved."
"They could improve the interface a bit."
"The NetBackup software is based on Red Hat Linux, but we should have multiple software options for that. We should have more OS options. Also, there are too many tools and intermediaries. Everything should be built into an all-in-one solution."
"The desirability of appliance solutions is dwindling in the marketplace."
