We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Oracle E-Business Suite is a stable product.""EBS has lots of application families and lots of features. It is modular in deployment and flexible enough to let the customer increase the built-in capabilities and enable new applications when needed. These are very important things at hand in case there will be a need to expand the product capabilities and/or implement new projects.""It can easily be developed into an application.""The solution has other core processes that can be implemented with customers according to their needs.""I like that one system covers everything.""I like the automation and integration features of Oracle E-Business Suite.""The most valuable feature is its flexibility.""Financial and asset management features are valuable."

Cons
"It should be made a little bit more user friendly. When I complete my implementation and hand it over to the clients or the person who will operate it on a day-to-day basis, they find it a little bit difficult because they are not from a highly qualified IT background. I want Oracle to make it a little bit more user friendly.""The deployment of the Oracle E-Business Suite was simple. I have done many deployments and I find it simple, but for others, it might not be easy.""On-site cloud support is slow and unresponsive.""They should include database functionality.""Needs more real-time visualizations, in terms of smarter dashboards and reporting competing with the speed of HANA.""Oracle is easy to implement at a new organization like ours, but it might be more challenging for an established organization with more rules and policies in place.""User interface is outdated and not user friendly.""We don't like Oracle EBS because it is very old. Nowadays, all the systems are on the cloud and web-based. With Oracle EBS, you need a huge setup before installing it. You need a lot of servers. There are a lot of problems and bugs in the system. We have to move from Oracle EBS to another system. In terms of improvements, it can have better training for end users and better support."

    Reviews from Real Users:

Kopano R., Freelancer at a tech services company, says, “What I found most valuable in Oracle E-Business Suite is the patching because it is straightforward. As long as you follow Oracle's best practices, you are able to finish the task of patching without a problem. I like that it's also easy to add products, e.g. if you want to add on financials, you can, or if you don't have financials, you can expand on that. I like that Oracle E-Business Suite is really scalable.”

Mohammed G., Senior Oracle Application Consultant at a comms service provider, writes, “Oracle E-Business Suite consists of a lot of streams, such as financial and HR processes of the enterprise companies. We are using most of the Oracle financial modules, and we have an Oracle stream, FI procurement stream, and HR streams, which have a lot of applications. Oracle E-Business Suite has over 20 different modules to choose from, it is comprehensive. Additionally, the integration is very good. “
