We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are that it's very customizable and it's flexible.""SAP ERP's interface is pretty easy nowadays, as it has evolved over time and has been made as user-friendly as a person would like it.""The best thing that SAP ERP has is the extensive coverage of processes for every field and business unit such as procurement, inventory, financials, asset management, plant maintenance, and production. We can cover up to 99.9% processes of our organization, which is the best thing about this solution. It also has a very good capability to integrate with other applications. The security and authorization level of SAP ERP is very high. No other solution can match this level.""The solution is scalable.""The solution provides a high level of integration.""The solution can easily be standardized across processes.""The stability is SAP ERP is not good only because the version is old. They could work on improving the versions.""The solution has a lot of good integrated modules."

Cons
"The problem with SAP is that whenever there is a modification, or if a new field needs to be added, they charge tens of thousands, hundreds, or even two hundred thousand dollars. That is not anything in which I am really interested. For instance, consider a single-use case. I have to enter the root causes for a certain operation or failure. That option does not exist anywhere in SAP, not in manufacturing, not in logistics, not in anything. It is completely missing. The root cause analysis is very common across industries, yet SAP does not offer this option. A line field or a metaparticle, for example, was delayed. If you have the choice to input the warehouse operator or if the person who submitted the document has the opportunity to enter, this has been postponed for N, X, Y, or Z reasons.""The solution is not ready for the current e-commerce environment.""It is not easily integrated with outside products.""Technical support is an area that is in need of improvement.""I'm only working on the front end with ERP's user interface, which isn't very easy for end-users. It's an old-school interface, so it's often challenging to find what you need.""Customizations are a bit expensive.""SAP needs to be more intuitive.""Pricing could be improved for preferred customers."
