Find out what your peers are saying about Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic and others in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability."Being able to install it on-prem and monitor our on-prem infrastructure is important for us... Most of our infrastructure is on-prem. We have highly scalable systems and AppDynamics will help us monitor our load on-prem. Our systems range from simple to the most complex and it gives us the visibility across transactions, in one dashboard."
"AppDynamics has a very broad range of supported technologies, and it's user-friendly. It looks nice, and it's easy to sell the solution to the stakeholders when we can visualize how the website is working. For example, where we have any problems through visual analytics."
"AppDynamics provides us with detailed information about the performance of the underlying infrastructure, including servers, databases, and external services."
"After we implemented this solution, we can easily determine the root cause of issues."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to take a report, and in particular, a visual, and link it to actual application performance and then the consequences. This means you can show how an incident or action has an effect on the business."
"I think the performance and interface are the most important features."
"It reduces the time to resolve issues and requires less manpower."
"It is easy to gain visibility into complex environments with AppDynamics. It has the ability to combine operation information of the environment and business information with strong business IQ support."

"AppDynamics could benefit from greater integration with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning."
"The overall performance of this solution could be improved. The hot-hot infrastructure features could also be improved."
"It would help to maybe have a more graphical interface and more user-friendly graphics."
"The integration ability of AppDynamics with other performance testing tools is an area with shortcomings where improvements are required."
"The UI could use a little help."
"The resolution time takes longer than expected."
"Additional support for NextGen mobile platforms also needs to be high in the roadmap prioritizations"
"There are too many installers available for this solution."
"One area that could be improved is the reporting features. In the version transformation from ten to eleven, the platform changed from a Windows-based platform to a Linux-based platform. As a result, the previous reporting feature using Crystal Reports was no longer available. Instead, we had to generate PDF dashboard reports, which were not as flexible."
