We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The ability to write our own code inside each activity is beneficial. Sometimes we need to create functionality that doesn't come out of the box, and this allows us to do that.""Bizagi is really great for beginners because it's user-friendly and you can learn in it quickly, whereas other similar software are harder.""Your team can work on it having basic training about databases and BPM modeling.""The free online Help and E-Learning is very strong.""Agility, reverse engineering, customized portal web, help desk and user guides, easy deployment, simple to modify.""Its cost is the most valuable. It is not as expensive. It is also easy to make different types of processes for the users.""In Bizagi, all of the features are valuable.""The main feature of Bizagi is the speed to which we can automate processes and how we can modify them without a strong impact on the end users."

More Bizagi Pros →

"We are receiving good assistance from the technical support.""We use it for automating certain processes which previously took a lot of time for agents to set up different products for customers. They would have to enter a lot of different systems. This has now mostly been automated.""It continues to keep up with the changing needs of the business. That is the strong value proposition of BPM. It's not a one-time automation.""There is a component of this BPM pool - I can't recall the name. What it does is, it allows you to create various scenarios and then run them quickly, before actually putting them onto a tool. So I think that part of the tool is really fantastic, because that enables you to create scenarios, create simulations, before actually going out and putting it into the tool itself""It has an elaborated way to explore the IBM BPM processes.""One thing that I love about them is that they make it easier to integrate with other systems, especially with the use of smaller files.""Process Modelling, simulation and optimization, integration, UI components.""It provides a very robust environment to build an integration framework or workflow patterns that we have. A lot of changes or modifications have been made to this solution over the past few years. The features that they have added this time have helped developers like us to work on the developmental environment and leverage all the capabilities of the tool. This is what I like about this solution."

Cons
"The product must make automation easier.""I think that they could improve their update process. Some of the process mining techniques could be added to Bizagi. I think that they can improve their simulation abilities to include more elements of the BPMN.""The performance could use improvement. We couldn't connect the processes to on one file. The performance is an issue for us.""The product used to have a simulation feature, which I had used quite often. However, it's since been discontinued. It might have originally been a paid feature. It would be nice if they could bring it back and offer it for free.""I'm not really satisfied with the reporting aspect.""We have migrated to the cloud, but there are a lot of issues while integrating with the cloud. There are a lot of things to improve with the cloud and reporting. We were previously working with on-premise solutions, and we had access to a lot of things, but with the cloud, they changed a lot of functionalities. Some of the things we know, but with some of the things, we are having difficulties.""The tool is expensive and it should improve its pricing.""It needs some better notation functionality."

More Bizagi Cons →

"We would like better performance and more visibility on each step of the tool.""Integration with web services, especially in the standard version of the product.""I would like IBM to consider including AI-enabled process mining, robotic process automation, and very good OCR capabilities from the computer vision side.""If you want to use IBM BPM, you will have to invest a lot of money for licenses and you need to learn that there are limitations in developing applications. You cannot create anything you want.""From the testing perspective and minor enhancements perspective, customization is something that is a little tedious as compared to new tools. In addition, various open-source tools that are available are not working with IBM BPM.""Performance on large scale requirements could also be improved.""I'd like the tool to be more flexible.""The initial setup was complex. It is not always easy to launch a new platform and it needed better coordination with IBM."

  • "If they can freeze the pricing in a contract, I advise them to do so."
  • "I think that its price is reasonable."

  • "It has a low cost to implement. You'll get your money back in the same year that you complete the project."
  • "The cloud and license of the subscription model for IBM BPM can be complex. There are a lot of alternatives to choose from."

    Reviews from Real Users

IBM BPM is a solution that stands out when compared to many of its competitors. Some of its major advantages are that it’s good for developing complex apps, is robust, and has helpful team management and process performance features.

Zoran C., Owner/CEO at IT SPHERE, says, “It is perfect if you have to develop complex apps without much coding (only java script). It is also good if you don't have much IT resources in your company and would like to involve business analysts in the process of developing apps. My opinion is that it can do about 50% of all developers' work.”

Suhas V., BPM Architect at GBM, mentions, “Overall the solution is robust and has the ability to integrate with any product for complex workflows."

A BPM Consultant at a financial services firm comments, "Some of the features that I like the most are team management and process performance. They are both very useful and very powerful with regard to the workflow."

A Digital Banking & Innovation Director at a financial services firm expresses, “The processing functionality makes it easy to change processes and workflows easily.”
