"The correlation analysis is excellent. It's one of the best that I have used to date."
"The Report Studio that is aimed at professional report writers."
"If I were to compare it with Power BI and I wanted to build proper well-formatted reports, BusinessObjects Business Intelligence does that much better. Power BI is just getting into that space. They've concentrated more on visualization, which is what the SAP Lumira does. With Web Intelligence, you are able to build reports that users can interact with. They can also do a lot of querying themselves. It is robust in terms of security and integration. It is also quite scalable."
"It is more user-friendly and easier to work with the report creation part, creating reports out of an established universe. Maybe a business person could liberate the existing universe and create a report on top of it, as well. So that's one cool feature."
"The development using SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform is very good."
"The platform uses a lot of Java technologies so the performance and system-level management are tricky because it needs a lot of resources."
"We find that we can scale it as needed."
"The planning and dashboarding features have been useful. Additionally, the fixed-format reports are good."
"The most valuable feature we have found to be the SAP BW, which is a warehouse tool. Additionally, it is an easy tool to use."
"It has got great flexibility. As a reporting tool, it has a great deal of flexibility for numerous data resources that you can bring into it. It allows you to write your SQL query directly within the product. So, it allows you to do server-side joins instead of pulling all the data into Crystal Report to aggregate that data. It has great visualization. For the most part, it operates quite efficiently."

"It would be nice to offer free online training on the tool for end-users."
"We would like to see development of the product's UI function, to make it more of a UI tool that can be configured as required."
"It could have more options for themes."
"The performance is a bottleneck and something that can be improved."
"One key area for improvement is the need to improve the self-service nature and functionality of the product in terms of visual analytics."
"Most of our company's customers want to be able to deploy IBM Cognos on a web application and use it as a desktop application, which is not possible currently."
"The AI-based features could be further enhanced by the solution."
"They should provide improved visual reporting."
"I really want SAP to focus on the dashboarding side. Based on what I have seen in the past 10 years, dashboarding has captured a lot of markets. Executives at the top-level want data that is summarized, looks good, and tells you a story. That's where Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI have an upper edge. It doesn't mean SAP doesn't give you dashboarding. They do have a dashboarding solution, but Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI are more intuitive and more attractive. I would like SAP to capture the dashboarding market as well, wherein they give at least some competition to other competitors. Presently, Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI are leading the market."
"SAP BusinessObjects is actually losing popularity within our company because people find the user interface and the way things are set up not to be as easy as many other tools that are on the market, like Qlik and things like that."
"I would like to see their data visualization products enhanced and made more robust and easier to implement."
"It is not simple to use."
"SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform is an outdated solution that is missing many features."
"This product could be improved with Cloud Integrations and Predictive Analytics functions integration."
"The financial area in the solution has certain shortcomings that need improvement."
"This solution is complex to configure and administer."
