Find out what your peers are saying about Netgate, Fortinet, OPNsense and others in Firewalls."Secure, user-friendly, stable, and scalable network security solution. Installation is straightforward."
"It's user-friendly and easy to operate."
"Overall security features and performance routing is good."
"Using this product makes the VPN seamless and almost invisible to me in the sense that I don't have to think about it."
"The most valuable feature is the interface, which is very user friendly. We are utilizing most of the features, like content filtering. The firewall is powerful."
"The main benefit is the grouping of our security monitoring."
"Fortinet FortiGate is user-friendly and affordable."
"The most valuable features are the enterprise modeling and the simple interface."
"It does give certain protection for everything that is well configured on our McAfee server. We have good protection with it. If we could find a feature and make it work, it would work perfectly, there would be no bugs, and it would be really good."
"It is very easy to use."
"The user interface is well laid out and understandable."
"The most valuable feature of Sophos Cyberoam UTM is the SD-WAN gateway."
"The solution is excellent for web and application filtering and remote access with the VPN."
"The tool is stable."
"You can geofence yourself if there is an incoming attack or a continuous ping from a company outside your country."
"The best feature is the flexibility the product offers, in terms of remote access. What we had before was a decentralized mechanism in our organization, but after having this product we were able to get the remote locations into the same LAN. We were able to control the bandwidth and were able to take virtual access of those machines and give them the support, as and when required."
"I find Sophos Cyberoam UTM very good. I like the feature of being able to block off Mac IDs that host users. For example, you have a Mac or Windows laptop and you created a hotspot. Other devices like mobiles and tablets e.g. iPads connected to that hotspot. We can block those devices that connected to the hotspot we created, only through Sophos. It's a good feature we didn't find in other UTMs."
"The process of configuring firewall rules appears excessively complex."
"The support team for Fortinet FortiGate needs to be more customer friendly."
"The captive portal could be improved."
"There is one big configuration file with no separations for the unique VDOMs. Maybe they could separate individual VDOM configuration files with the root VDOM configuration file referencing the individual VDOM config files."
"It needs more available central management."
"The solution lacks multi-language support."
"We were not able to build a full-mesh VPN; however, I am not sure if this was the fault of Fortinet FortiGate."
"While FortiGate is cheaper than most other solutions, we're seeing increased license renewal costs. Most of our clients are asking for more significant discounts because the price is going up."
"Customer support and AV are both lacking and are really hard to come to you when the product is installed. Those are the two major points that they need to work on."
"There is a lot or room for improvement, because it is still not a fourth or fifth generation firewall. It lacks security features."
"There are some issues with logs and report limitations."
"The solution could be cheaper."
"The product’s pricing has increased by approximately 45% in four months. This particular area needs improvement."
"The solution had a feature to import users from a CSV file. However, the latest version does not have that option."
"Once in a while, an unwanted email will slip in. You have to set your parameters to avoid that happening, but once in a while, an email has slipped past firewall. Once you update the firmware, you notice that it doesn't happen. If an email slips in, I get a little bit worried. I do get the report, but you just don't want that situation happening in the first place."
"We use different workarounds and find different solutions for it, depending on the client's needs. We shouldn't have to, we should just be able to use the product as it comes with Cyberoam, rather than having to revert to other products."
"The implementation policy needs improvment."
