We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is a stable solution.""It's easy to manage.""Being able to manage the devices remotely is most valuable. We can push security requirements through Microsoft Intune.""I haven't used other mobile device management solutions, but compared to SCCM, we eliminate a lot of on-premises infrastructure and maintenance by using Intune.""The ability to manage devices with different sets of policies is most valuable.""The key benefit of Intune is its integration with the Microsoft ecosystem.""The most valuable feature for us is the security, including risk analysis and patch management.""There are so many features, but Windows Autopilot is one of the features that are very valuable for most customers."

"Security is the most valuable feature, because we are a financial institution. We have a large number of clients and we have to make sure all communications are secure and PCI compliant.""It was a big improvement to activate applications with one authentication. That was a big plus for the user experience.""The most important features would be instant messaging and the security that we get from the containerization.""We were able to utilize Android for Work-Premium in BlackBerry Android devices.""There is very high flexibility for different setups of single users, so it can give a single use many different device types with different enrollment types.""Access to the emails on the go was most valuable. Having access to your emails in a secure way is one of the most important features of this solution. Blackberry ensures data security, and as a user, I can use it while on roaming or wherever I am.""It gives us the ability to have a container and the most secure possible application.""The technical support for the solution is excellent."

"The most valuable feature of IceWarp is the chat rooms and file-sharing, they are useful. It is convenient that everything is in one place. You can easily share and collaborate documents, making the program's unity a significant advantage.""IceWarp has multiple applications that are easy to use for many people.""The solution has a very good log-in to the UI when compared to other solutions.""Its price is the most valuable. It is definitely one of the lowest price solutions.""It's scalable and stable.""The product is used very extensively in my company since we have around 1,500 users using it. Also, there is no requirement for any administrators to manage the product by the people who own the solution.""The solution's voice services work well for our company.""It has great communication capabilities for team chatting and web conferences."

Cons
"The configuration could be better by consolidating options and making it simpler.""We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script.""I think that there is room for improvement with the reporting. If this is done, it will be a better product.""The Mac integration has room for improvement.""Integration with Mac devices requires some improvement.""The biggest problem we ever have is when something goes out of date after 30 days when nobody has logged into it. We do have a problem trying to get those back online. We've been working with Microsoft to resolve that problem, but that's been the only issue that we've had in the last few years.""The pricing could be improved.""It would be good if, in addition to the minimal patching and compliance, we could also use Intune for application deployment. For instance, if a device is not patched, Intune should have the ability to push not only a Microsoft patch but also other patches, such as a browser patch."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The only thing is that the UEM service is a little slow. We have a product production environment, and a test environment and both of them are a little slow. When you are using the UEM Web interface, it takes time to load.""The pain points for us would be the activation.""As far as being able to remotely wipe a device, or remove it from the console, this is not simple to do. It is not a one-click motion, as it requires several steps.""I know for the BlackBerry Connect, our users want to see more features, such as audio and video. I know the current version doesn't have that.""From the past to the present, before mobility location, we frequently required a restart.""It would be nice if there was an easier way for team members to get onboarded in regards to what they have to do on the device. There are some programs like Apple DEP and Samsung Knox. Unfortunately, with these programs, to get existing users onto them, you have to factory wipe your device. If it did not have the DEP capabilities, it would be nicer if it did not have so many steps to go through. That is our biggest complaint from team members. It has too many steps.""We cannot integrate BlackBerry Edit from BlackBerry Enterprise. BlackBerry Edit has issues when we are editing any document. We have other internal applications that we can use for documents, but we cannot edit into BlackBerry Edit. There's room for improvement with editing documents.""Second level support needs to have strong knowledge of the product."

More BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite Cons →

"It is difficult to disable user rights on the console so some users accidentally delete their documents or user details.""Support should be improved. Most of the time, the queries are not resolved within the SLA.""Our customers sometimes have problems receiving mail.""The tool's configuration capabilities are not straightforward. Apart from that, if I want to archive emails into a vault so that they can be retrieved again later, the integration doesn't work, and IceWarp crashes.""Although the documentation is extensive and in depth, you must familiarize yourself with it before taking full advantage of the product.""The solution should improve the mailing list feature. Google has a similar feature where you can automate sending files to different people in a sequence, but that feature is no longer available in the current version of IceWarp. Other features may also have been removed in the current version.""With multiple databases for VOIP, chat and web IMAP, maintenance is cumbersome.""The exchange compatibility mode is rather limited. Their technical support can also be better. They only provide online support, and there should be some option for escalating."

  • "With the new licensing model, there seems to be a significant increase in cost, which makes it difficult to push forward and talk with the business."
  • "In my opinion, we're paying an awful lot for what we get, compared to other vendors. I don't deal with the pricing, but it does seem to be a bit pricey for the things that we get, especially, when you compare them to other vendors, such as VMware, Citrix, who have all bought up other players in this space. VMware offers AirWatch free as part of their packages."
  • "Sometimes, it is very hard to get an overview because there are so many different suites to find out what is the right thing for new customers."
  • "We pay about $6 a year for the solution. There are no extra costs on top of that. You save a lot of money when you use this product."
  • "We currently pay by the year, but the licenses are calculated on a monthly basis."
  • "The licensing costs are paid on a yearly basis because we just renewed the license. If you have some big issue, they will also charge you."
  • "It was on a yearly support contract, and the licenses were perpetual. There was also the implementation cost and the support cost for the integrator."
  • "We are paying $200 annually. You also need to have a hardware server or a license for the server so there could be some additional fees added on to that."

  • "Pricing and licensing is very competitive and in some cases, cheap."
  • "Costs far less than other solutions."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
