Find out what your peers are saying about Anaplan, Oracle, Jedox and others in Business Performance Management."Oracle Hyperion is an engine allowing you to build whatever you want on it."
"Scalability isn't a problem for Hyperion."
"Scalability is one of this solution's big plus points."
"One can see that it's a mature product because it addresses all the requirements that you must need for financial consolidation and for budgeting and planning. It's really easy to use."
"Since it is an enterprise-capable solution, people are not worried about security, giving data, the ability to manage complex consolidation, and its ability to modify reporting."
"It is easy to use. It is very intuitive. Even though there is a lot of functionality that comes out of the box, you can customize the solutions to meet your needs. You have the ability to have business rules that produce all kinds of calculations. We're international, and we do all our FX conversions through that."
"The implementation has been simplified now that it's deployed in the cloud. Also, Hyperion is tightly integrated with Oracle products because Oracle owns it now."
"The most valuable features are those associated with modules and SP, IT in this space, planning, HFM, and PME."
"It has helped us speed up the turnaround time on our consolidation. We don't have to do reporting in Excel anymore, which has cut down on the errors and the efficiency of our close time."
"This solution's stability is a little problematic."
"We are still having some issues with the ASO Cube. It can take a long time to clear the data in the ASO Cube compared to BSO data-clearing operations. We don't have a specific calculation in the ASO, and we only have these aggregate options on the ASO side. If we need calculations, we have to calculate them in the BSO and pass the data to the ASO Cube for the reporting. That's one of the drawbacks. Oracle could also improve on the data logging side as well."
"It is challenging to do reporting on Oracle Hyperion if you're not an expert."
"The analytical side of the product could be better and needs to be improved."
"The initial setup of Oracle Hyperion is very difficult."
"I would love more comment capabilities so that you could put in little notes, cheat notes."
"The solution is about to cease to exist, so it doesn't really matter if they add anything to it. It's at end-of-life."
"The level of complexity of the implementation is always a challenge."
"The part that we liked about Excel is that it had a better interface in terms of just graphical illustration of our results. So, if we wanted to look at our financial trends and put it into some type of graphical interface for people to look at, we still have to leverage Excel for that. The dashboards aren't as usable as maybe some of the other solutions, such as Tableau or other BI tools."
