We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's fast, easy to use, has a user-friendly UI, and you can split users.""The usability and ability to integrate with other solutions is quite good. When I use it in on Azure, then Red Hat is the most likely solution I use. When I use AWS, then I tend to use Lambda functions. In either case, it works well and you can use it either way.""The TCO has been optimized along with the total ROI.""The initial setup was straightforward.""Both the professional and cloud versions of Micro Focus LoadRunner use the same scripting or programming to execute performance modeling operations. This feature allows users to use various programming languages such as Java, C, or C++, which can run within either of the two environments. This flexibility in the programming language is a strong point of the software.""It is feature-rich. It supports most protocols, which is important because I am in charge of a team at the bank, and we do performance testing for all kinds of different applications. We have tons of them. We even do video streams.""Keeping up with DevOps, thus the best feature of StormRunner is that we don't have to build and maintain infrastructure anymore.""One of LoadRunner's standout features is its extensive support for various TechStacks and protocols."

"The technical support is good, we were satisfied.""We have multiple applications, and it supports parallel execution. It has mobile automation.""The use of automation is most valuable.""The item that is different from all the other tools is that it's module based.""I face no challenges or stability issues.""It can provide all levels of testing from design to execution to reporting.""The feature that I have found the most valuable is the recovery and cleanup process. Suppose there is a list of test cases and one test case has failed, it should not impact the other test cases. We can reuse the same test case. We can change the configuration of parameters and then use the test cases on the same thing. So, that's a useful thing. Otherwise, we have to use the cleanup process. Another useful feature is to have our own library files. We can create our objects in the libraries and reuse them. There is no need to create duplicate data for that. They have been giving some enhancements recently which means integration is also there. They've integrated with different software like Jenkins, Bamboo. So, we can also create pipeline points. They have recently given SAP and everything, which is very useful.""The automation engine is very strong, and it is very competitive in the market in terms of features. They develop a lot of features."

Cons
"I would like for there to be better integration with other tools so that when you do load testing you can also do a security check.""One area of improvement in the software's support is the replaying of captured data within the development environment. It would be beneficial if the replay feature could accurately mimic what the actual application is doing for better analysis and testing.""We are trying to put it into a complete CI/CD pipeline, but there are still some challenges when you try to run it through different protocols. The challenges are around how you can containerize applications. There are some limitations to some protocols, such as desktop. And when it comes to database testing, there are some things that we can't do through CI/CD.""I don't know of any features that should be added. The solution isn't lacking anything at this point.""Reporting and analysis need improvement. Compared to the old school LoadRunner Windows application, the reporting and analysis are mediocre in LoadRunner Cloud.""Sometimes, you are utilizing one of the low generators, then all of a sudden if you discontinue from one project, it actually deletes the entire low generator.""An area for improvement is analytics on why response times are slow from certain countries.""Improvements to the reporting would be good."

"I would like to see more implementation of AI on the self-healing aspect. That would be like the next step.""The Test Management options are still weak - improvement is outlined, but not yet visible. I""Very difficult to get information about licensing costs.""Tricentis Tosca’s technical support could be improved.""You need to spend much more time learning the tool and how to use it, compared to others.""It requires some coding customization that requires expertise.""The main area where there is room for improvement is how they do upgrades. Going through this current upgrade, we were delayed a month because we are using a third-party tool. It's called Tosca Connect by Tasktop. When this latest upgrade broke that relationship between the two, it took Tricentis a month to come back with a workable solution... Their whole upgrade process needs to be better and cleaner, from an end-user standpoint.""The solution should work with the Linux platform. Right now, it only runs on Windows."

  • "The solution is expensive."
  • "It is expensive compared to other tools."
  • "LoadRunner always had expensive pricing. At my company, we used to evaluate LoadRunner, but we stuck with Silk Performer because its pricing was always better in the past. I do feel that I got a fair deal this time. Our value-added reseller and our sales guy worked hard to give us a fair deal. I feel that we got a fair deal. We did not go for the pay-as-you-go deal. I did an upfront package. I prefer that. I want to know what my costs are."
  • "The solution’s price is considerably high."
