We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is feature-rich. It supports most protocols, which is important because I am in charge of a team at the bank, and we do performance testing for all kinds of different applications. We have tons of them. We even do video streams.""The usability and ability to integrate with other solutions is quite good. When I use it in on Azure, then Red Hat is the most likely solution I use. When I use AWS, then I tend to use Lambda functions. In either case, it works well and you can use it either way.""The reports are very relevant to the customers’ expectations.""It's fast, easy to use, has a user-friendly UI, and you can split users.""This solution is SaaS based so we can utilize cloud technology, which is less time consuming and saves a lot of of money.""One of LoadRunner's standout features is its extensive support for various TechStacks and protocols.""Both the professional and cloud versions of Micro Focus LoadRunner use the same scripting or programming to execute performance modeling operations. This feature allows users to use various programming languages such as Java, C, or C++, which can run within either of the two environments. This flexibility in the programming language is a strong point of the software.""The product’s most valuable feature is the Vuser license; it allows us to reduce the cost as per requirement."

"Software testing tool that has multiple features. It's good to use for SAP testing, and it helps reduce test execution time.""The Model-Based Test Automation is the most valuable feature, where you can create reusable components. Even though we are using a scriptless automation tool, there still needs to be an understanding of how to create reusable components and how to keep refactoring and how to keep regression, the test scripts, at an okay level. We are coupling Tosca with some other risk-based testing tools, as well, but automation is primarily what we're using Tosca for, the scriptless, model-based technology which is driving automation for us.""The product enables codeless automation.""The item that is different from all the other tools is that it's module based.""The mainframe testing and UI automation are the most valuable aspects of the solution.""The most valuable feature is being able to create a test case by recording some scenarios and then leasing that task case to other scenarios.""It's a simple tool, particularly in terms of system testing. You can also convert and automate using Tricentis Tosca with ease.""Multiple scanning engines to automate many different applications."

Cons
"One area for improvement in LoadRunner Cloud, especially for agile models, is its limited support for functional testing alongside its robust non-functional testing capabilities.""It doesn't provide custom reports. You can only use the default reports which contain irrelevant data or is missing data that we need.""We did have some challenges with the initial implementation.""It should have a feature to report with a 99.9 percentile success rate.""Scriptless automation is an area that can be improved.""The product must provide agents to monitor servers.""One area of improvement in the software's support is the replaying of captured data within the development environment. It would be beneficial if the replay feature could accurately mimic what the actual application is doing for better analysis and testing.""Sometimes, you are utilizing one of the low generators, then all of a sudden if you discontinue from one project, it actually deletes the entire low generator."

More OpenText LoadRunner Cloud Cons →

"More and more artificial intelligence (AI) is coming in. So, some amount of AI to create natural language processing (NLP)-based test cases and manage defects would be very helpful. This is because the technologies have evolved in the last five to six months, so there is a potential opportunity there.""I would like to see better integration with other testing tools.""Their license management should be improved. One of our customers is a global customer. They want to use one licensed server and then split the licenses based on the different users of the different business units, but currently, there is only one license server that everybody can access. There is no control, and that's why sometimes congestion can happen.""There should be ease of data manipulation within automation test cases.""The product needs to improve object identification. The identify with properties and anchor methods work perfectly, while the by-index and image methods may face challenges.""Tricentis Tosca could improve on the ease of use. There is a steep learning curve. The reporting section could be better and some of the new features could be simplified. Additionally, the user management of the client and the server are confusing. There should not be two.""While the initial setup was straightforward, we required assistance with the configuration to ensure that everything was done correctly.""Not being able to mask test data in relation to testing data management, in my opinion, is also a limitation."
