"It is an affordable platform."
"The interface is quite good."
"It is very easy to install. It can be done in a day."
"Hyper-V helps to make a replica server between two machines. It is very easy to learn."
"The solution is highly scalable."
"The most valuable feature is that it's an end-to-end solution."
"It's good for what it does. If you have a small or medium-scale acclimatization, it's an excellent solution."
"We've probably seen a 50 percent speed increase on our SQL server. Hyper-V has also significantly reduced our downtimes with faster boot-up and reboot. If we have to reboot a server, there is maybe two or three minutes of downtime. When we were on a bare-metal server, it could be five to ten minutes due to the total boot time."
"The product offers good stability."
"The pricing of the product is reasonable."
"being able to manage a lot of servers in one pane of glass makes things a lot simpler. Basically, a lot of things just happen in one area. You can roll things over, move things around more dynamically, without having to hit multiple systems."
"The speed of the solution is excellent."
"Technical support is very good. They are very helpful."
"The fact that we have the ability to easily scale out, and the ability to do maintenance on the underlying hardware without impacting our business applications, are important aspects."
"It is easy to maintain our data machines and take snapshots with the solution."
"The ability to create or clone a virtual environment in a short period of time for testing is most valuable."
"An improvement I suggest is having more guest operating systems."
"Hyper-V could improve by making it easier to manage."
"We have our cluster connected to a Dell EMC VNX (SAN). The Hyper-V nodes are on Cisco UCS blades, and everything is interconnected via fiber. I attempted to use a virtual Fibre Channel connection to present a SAN volume to a VM but was not able to make that work."
"I think the console could use some improvement for the backups."
"I think the setup for the Virtual Network Manager could be improved."
"There is a problem with high-availability if the load is too high."
"The only issues we have had recently are with Windows updates that are built into the Windows server with Hyper-V."
"I would love to see other options for connecting VMs to large data storage."
"They should make it more efficient and stable."
"Its price can be better. It is very expensive."
"The initial setup is a bit complex."
"Two improvements that I would like to see are higher resolution console modes for guests and easier switching between consoles."
"They can maybe review its price. They can also consider offering a free public version for development for a certain number of users."
"The solution could be a bit more user-friendly."
"Sometimes you can't find items and you need to log onto different physical servers to do technical tasks. I don't fully understand why this is the case."
"I would suggest that the tool reconsider its pricing strategy. The recent price hikes could potentially pose a problem for VMware in the future. The recent price increases, especially since Broadcom acquired them, seem excessive. There are reports of businesses experiencing massive price hikes, sometimes as much as 10-30 times higher. This is causing smaller businesses to consider exiting the space altogether."
