We performed a comparison between INETCO Insight and Splunk Enterprise Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Splunk, New Relic, Devo and others in IT Operations Analytics."This can help customers who already have a lot of monitoring providers consolidate what they have."
"It provides real-time information alerts."
"We can have a real-time detection for the root cause of problems, minimizing time to resolution."
"The ability to ingest different log types from many different products in our environment is most valuable."
"With good domain knowledge, one can build almost anything. If you throw in Alert Manager or an integration with ServiceNow. Then, you have your own SIEM"
"The completeness of the solution is what we like the most."
"Splunk's schema on demand is incredibly useful. I do not have to worry about what my users will need when we onboard their data."
"It helped us consolidate all our solutions into an easy tool to use for various employees."
"Its dashboard is valuable. If you have a good knowledge of how to create a dashboard, you can create any dashboard related to cybersecurity. If fine-tuned, the alarms that are triggered for instant review are also very valuable and useful."
"The stock analysts and security people use one single dashboard (one single location) to check our logs."
"Integration with the cloud is pretty important and good for us. We found the integration with a lot of tools, not all tools yet, valuable. It does make the transfer of data, log files, and other things easier for us."
"It would help to have historical information."
"I would like to see an updated dashboard. The dashboard is a little out-of-date. It could be made prettier."
"Writing queries is a bit complicated sometimes."
"If you have to do your own stuff, such as customized charts, it is a little bit more work, but once you're familiar with the Splunk query language, you can pretty much do whatever you want. In terms of features, it should probably have the features that other competitors provide."
"Custom visualizations are real hard. While the default visualizations are good, creating enhanced visualizations are complex."
"More training on PetaData using artificial intelligence techniques to identify the events which are not normal and exceptions that would help the organization identify threats and malware on the go with results."
"Integrating tools and creating use cases could be easier. It's hard for a junior security engineer with only a couple of years of experience to write use cases. They can do it, but it's much easier in a solution like IBM QRadar. Setting conditions is like a multiple-choice type of thing. It's a more user-friendly process."
"Splunk is query-based, which is not the case with most cybersecurity tools. It is based on search queries and can be difficult to use. It would be good if they can make it easier to understand how to create search queries. They can improve the knowledge base for better understanding. To create your dashboard, you need to have a search query. We have multiple firewalls in our company, and we need a dashboard for them. It would be helpful if a default firewall dashboard is included in Splunk to make monitoring easier. If a dashboard is available for a security device, the operation part will be more efficient. We won't have to follow a manual process for this."
"The UI can be improved. Dashboards and reports can be better in terms of graphics."
