"The most valuable features are the enterprise modeling and the simple interface."
"The most valuable feature is the VDOM, which allows the customer to have multiple firewalls in a single campus."
"The CLI is robust and powerful, enabling rapid, consistent changes via SSH."
"I like that they have given me a solution at a fair price."
"There are lots of features and most of them are deployed for internet security. Users are protected if they accidentally go to some malicious sites."
"The most valuable features of Fortinet FortiGate are it is one of the most mature firewalls in the UTM bundle."
"The pricing is excellent. It's much less expensive than Cisco."
"Cisco has always been a premium product. There's a lot of other entry-level solutions. This is more robust."
"The VPN was valuable for us because more people are working from home. It has a lot of reporting and easy-to-use management tools."
"It is less expensive than alternative firewalls."
"The solution is stable."
"I've found their network routing to be very good."
"The VPN is the most valuable feature."
"The product's stability is good."
"Cisco IOS Security has many good features, but compared to other solutions, it has a more user-friendly interface with steps to apply and manage rules. Another good part of the solution is that it's more straightforward."
"Qualys VM has allowed us to know the vulnerabilities we need to prioritize based on the threat levels and the possible impact if there's an intrusion."
"The most recent is VMDR, which provides a comprehensive overview of how to detect, patch, and remediate specific vulnerabilities."
"It is quite easy to implement."
"The biggest benefit is from a security operations perspective, where we are able to drive our security posture upwards by remediating any discovered vulnerabilities."
"I find the most valuable features are the continuous monitoring. Even on premises, there is constant monitoring."
"It's a good product. After the scan our internet works well. It scans our security posture."
"I am impressed with the VMDR feature."
"There are fewer false positives when using this solution."
"We would like to see a better training platform implemented."
"The solution could have licensing fees reduced in the future."
"They should improve the interface to make it more user-friendly."
"The main aspect of FortiGate that could be improved is load balancing. Our management team does not want to buy another appliance for only load balancing."
"They sometimes hide some features and if you want to enable them, you have to go in the CLI, enable the feature and configure it through the CLI. Customers, typically, like everything to be done by the GUI."
"The reporting in Fortinet FortiGate could improve. Customers are having to purchase additional reporting components. When I have used the Sophos solution it is a complete solution, in Fortinet FortiGate you have to use additional tools to have the features needed."
"FortiGate is really good. We have been using it for quite some time. Initially, when we started off, we had around 70 plus devices of FortiGate, but then Check Point and Palo Alto took over the place. From the product perspective, there are no issues, but from the account perspective, we have had issues. Fortinet's presence in our company is very less. I don't see any Fortinet account managers talking to us, and that presence has diluted in the last two and a half or three years. We have close to 1,500 firewalls. Out of these, 60% of firewalls are from Palo Alto, and a few firewalls are from Check Point. FortiGate firewalls are very less now. It is not because of the product; it is because of the relationship. I don't think they had a good relationship with us, and there was some kind of disconnect for a very long time. The relationship between their accounts team and my leadership team seems to be the reason for phasing out FortiGate."
"The stability of Fortinet FortiGate could improve."
"Cisco IOS Security could improve by having more compatibility with other Cisco solutions."
"Cisco IOS Security could improve its security features. There are competitors that have some additional security features, such as Fortinet FortiGate. Additionally, there should be better synchronization with Cisco IOS Security and other vendors, and improved AI features would be beneficial."
"We need to pay for the license and it is expensive."
"We faced significant challenges related to licensing issues, particularly when licenses expire."
"The configuration and reporting interfaces need a lot of improvement. It needs to be more accessible forsolide without a strong technical background. If you had a simplified dashboard, the lower-level techs could manage the solution and provide services. Cisco IOS Security requires someone who is highly trained to operate it."
"There could be a bit more functions on offer that could make it easier to use."
"I think setup could be one area for improvement, because sometimes we don't have people inside so we have to move to the place."
"There's a technology called SD-WAN that we would like to see. We are unable to handle multiple connections or to automatically load balance. I would like to have a feature that enables us to automatically prepare for load balancing."
"Reports were lacking somewhat on the customization side."
"They should make it accessible for more operating systems."
"We face issues while scanning multiple assets."
"Qualys could be improved in its overall performance compared to other vulnerability management or scanning tools."
"Improve the API speed."
"Qualys could improve the inbuilt dashboards."
"What we have found is that the solution is not closely tied with the patch management. It is okay with newer ones, like Windows 10 machines; it gives the correct patch. But for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, it does not give us the correct patch so we have to manually identify the patches. This is a major problem."
"The ability to manage user accounts and give rights to the operator to know about abnormalities of applications is something that needs improvement."
