Find out in this report how the two Reporting solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Its visualization capabilities are pretty good. It is very easy to use. You can easily make your dashboard."
"Connectivity, installation, and configuration are pretty fast and seamless compared to Cognos."
"Power BI stands out because it provides considerable flexibility in creating reports, dashboards, and various types of analytics to meet those dynamic requirements. It is lightweight and easy to use with good support."
"It is good for us for onboarding the data. We can connect to multiple data sources, do transformations to make the data usable, and then model it within the transformation. Someone who has come from a Microsoft Excel environment will easily be able to use this solution. Power query and report modeling are easy to understand in this solution. Their technical support is very good. They are extremely responsive, helpful, and hands-on."
"The solution's initial setup isn't too complicated."
"I have found the quick reporting and the conductivity with all the data sources valuable."
"The solution is not that difficult to install, although this will vary with the experience of the person responsible for its installation."
"The scalability is good. We have 20 people in my organization using this solution and plan to increase usage."
"Our Qlikview applications help us to get a good idea of our Client Base Performance and assist us in the decision making for Seasonal Specials. On the other hand QlikView helps us to get a grasp on our Suppliers and helps us to negotiate pricing with them."
"QlikView is a scalable solution that multiple users can easily use."
"The language support is very good."
"It is a stable product."
"The most useful feature of QlikView for me is the QVD concept."
"Its ability to build, very quickly, very complicated models."
"On the positive side, QlikView's scripting is a great asset as it functions as an ETL."
"Scripting as per a customer's need, which is a pretty cool feature and not available in other tools."
"The initial installation is difficult."
"Adding paginated reports to this tool could be of great help for users who want to move away from SSRS."
"The admin view could be improved by making it more simplified to manage a users' activity and other things."
"Not having to login again after a mobile app upgrade. A simple login on mobile would be great."
"Sluggish performance when handling large amounts of data."
"SSMS & SSRS."
"This solution is resource-heavy."
"I'm not overly technical, and so I can't really speak to any shortcomings from a technical standpoint."
"More/newer visualisation components need to be added."
"For me, it is important to have a mix, what is the "view" and what is the "sense", Qlik Sense. They have two tools, but for me it is important to have only one tool, which combines the functions that we have from one side and the other side."
"The tool is expensive in Turkey."
"The only thing I would improve about it is the fact that it refreshes all the time, and when it does that, it just deletes all the options you had, all the filters that you had selected, so you need to select them from the beginning."
"It is really old. We are moving towards converting everything into a Power BI environment. We want to have a self-service type of BI environment where different levels of users in organizations can log onto a portal and retrieve the data they need or get the necessary insights for decision-making that's important for them or their business unit. They have built a new version of QlikView called QlikSense, which probably competes with newer BI tools, such as Power BI, but they are far behind. That's why we are moving towards a newer tool that's easier to use and has more visualizations to represent the data."
"They could improve the update time."
"It would be nice if QlikView could be plugged in into the company's website or an online portal such as QlikSense is capable of. There are ways around but it takes enormous time to develop."
"This solution would be improved with the inclusion of a feature that would allow us to add a common library of (our) commands used in load scripts and expressions, so with a keyword, we would get a drop down to select the command we are looking for, as opposed to the generic help."
