Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, JAMF, VMware and others in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)."We have a BYOD policy, and this solution helps us manage our devices."
"The initial setup is not complex."
"The device profiling which uses the official Outlook email enabled us to control the screenshot feature and prevent copying outside of the organization's application."
"The ability to manage devices with different sets of policies is most valuable."
"The solution appears to be stable and scalable."
"The stability is good."
"The security-related tools are excellent; these features allow us to secure devices, lock them down, and ensure compliance."
"Being able to manage the devices remotely is most valuable. We can push security requirements through Microsoft Intune."
"The containerization of the BlackBerry Dynamics is the most important thing for us. It allows us to keep personal and corporate data separate on a personal device. It allows us to wipe the corporate data while leaving all the personal data in place."
"The technical support for the solution is excellent."
"The most important feature is Blackberry Work, for sure, because that is where you have email."
"Whenever we have issues, people rely on the ability to check messages promptly."
"The functionality with UEM and BlackBerry Works, the shared calendar, is a massive improvement for us."
"There is very high flexibility for different setups of single users, so it can give a single use many different device types with different enrollment types."
"It keeps things secure, it can remotely wipe the container and it's fairly easy to use."
"It does support hardware and operating system configurations from every angle."
"The most valuable feature is the fact that I can manage my devices remotely."
"The SOTI MobiControl Assist tool is very good for remote controlling devices for troubleshooting. SOTI MobiControl is very helpful."
"SOTI MobiControl is the right solution for customers who want a reliable and low-cost MDM solution."
"We use SOTI MobiControl for managing Android device management."
"We can do auto patch updates using SOTI. SOTI has been well placed in terms of the number of endpoints it can handle."
"The other feature, that I have got to say is just leaps and bounds ahead of SOTI's competition, is the remote control feature. It's a true admin remote-control, so we don't have to have somebody on the other side of the device allowing us access to the device... We're able to pull up a tablet or phone and take pictures of it and we can actually videotape what's going on, on the device itself, and that's been huge."
"I have experience with technical support. They are quite good. Also, they very quickly understand the issues and what are the requirements from my side. Response time is also good."
"The most valuable features of SOTI MobiControl include location tracking, geofencing, remote device control, and SOTI self-service mobile browsers."
"The current Intune reporting functionality could benefit from some improvements."
"The reporting could be improved, as it's pretty poor compared to other products of this type."
"The mobile and tablet-based versions need improvement because they are not completely user-friendly, compared to the web version. Also, data synchronization with our existing asset manager, the synchronization between multiple assets and multiple devices, takes a lot of time due to the security scanning. It should be reduced."
"Cost is the biggest factor for us right now. Microsoft Intune and AD P1 together in a bundle is a good thing to have, but it is very costly compared to other products in the market. Otherwise, Microsoft Intune is the best."
"The feature that allows us to import the business application from the configuration manager to Intune is not very good at this time."
"I would like the ability to install the agent on devices from suppliers, which would enable us to implement a zero-trust strategy for guest devices."
"It would be beneficial to have a more straightforward understanding of Intune's capabilities, presented in a simplified manner."
"The synchronization could be improved."
"Second level support needs to have strong knowledge of the product."
"From the past to the present, before mobility location, we frequently required a restart."
"The only thing is that the UEM service is a little slow. We have a product production environment, and a test environment and both of them are a little slow. When you are using the UEM Web interface, it takes time to load."
"It would be nice if there was an easier way for team members to get onboarded in regards to what they have to do on the device. There are some programs like Apple DEP and Samsung Knox. Unfortunately, with these programs, to get existing users onto them, you have to factory wipe your device. If it did not have the DEP capabilities, it would be nicer if it did not have so many steps to go through. That is our biggest complaint from team members. It has too many steps."
"We cannot integrate BlackBerry Edit from BlackBerry Enterprise. BlackBerry Edit has issues when we are editing any document. We have other internal applications that we can use for documents, but we cannot edit into BlackBerry Edit. There's room for improvement with editing documents."
"The newest features sometimes pop in very slowly."
"They could improve their QA. There are many times where something will be released, a new client will be released, and something gets broken. Or they do a release and they don't take into consideration how some people may be using parts of it. Even though it's supported, they release something and it breaks it because they weren't aware of it. The biggest thing for me right now is, I would like to see improvement in their QA. I'm tired of getting broken software."
"It's too difficult to manage ourselves. We have to get a third-party in to do that. The fact that it breaks on some end-users' devices is also a concern and just the frequency and complexity of upgrades is not ideal."
"We're deploying an application upgrade. We can't do more than three or four devices at once, and we don't know if the device actually received the upgrade. There's no indicator saying it's 100 percent complete until everything is done. Let's say I work East to West. I work on the East Coast and I want to confirm it was done with the upgrades in that region. I wouldn't know until I actually went into it. There's no indicator telling me that it's complete."
"The quality of the support service is poor. The headquarters are not very responsive. And, the actual quality of the software has its drawbacks."
"For the most part, the application deployment works well. Occasionally, when moving a gun, we'll see that we have to manually intervene, when working with the setup."
"The scalability is horizontal, not vertical. One machine has to have all the accounts. That's one of the issues that we have found with scalability: You always have to keep the same machine. If you want to add a second machine, you need to split the account and that removes flexibility of management."
"I have used Microsoft Intune but it is more complicated than SOTI MobiControl."
"Adding more features for iOS devices would be an improvement."
"Maybe if there were tiers, it would be better as then companies could lower the pricing by going to the lower deployment model."
"They could make it easier to configure. While setting it up from scratch, I find many networking issues, and I have to call our network people for them, but our network people don't understand. It's a nightmare to try to communicate to them that this port needs to be open, or this needs to be opened here or there. Networking people are very security conscious, and they're wary of doing anything. So, if you can't tell them exactly why they need to do something, they get really paranoid. SOTI could do a better job of making the configuration of their software easier to understand and more clear. The prerequisites should be clear. They should clearly specify what is required to get this software working. There should be a list of prerequisites that is easier to understand and trust."
