Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, JAMF, VMware and others in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)."It's very informative when there is an error. It allows us to backtrace where the error is and resolve that ourselves. It's a bit of a Swiss Army penknife. We find that it fixes most issues."
"I can reach devices or computers over the internet. I don't need to worry about the network connectivity between the offices. I can manage any device. That is the most important part."
"It's easy to manage."
"Easy to use."
"The solution is easy to use."
"The Asset Management and Auto Pilot are valuable features."
"We can securely manage both company-owned devices and personal devices enrolled in our BYOD program."
"We are a remote company, and the product helps us manage the global endpoints. It helps us natively manage the endpoints in the cloud from anywhere."
"The most important features would be instant messaging and the security that we get from the containerization."
"It was a big improvement to activate applications with one authentication. That was a big plus for the user experience."
"It has allowed us to manage many different mobile device platforms, like Windows 10, Android, Apple, and BlackBerry 10, all through a single pane of glass."
"There is very high flexibility for different setups of single users, so it can give a single use many different device types with different enrollment types."
"The functionality with UEM and BlackBerry Works, the shared calendar, is a massive improvement for us."
"It gives us the ability to have a container and the most secure possible application."
"Security is the most valuable feature, because we are a financial institution. We have a large number of clients and we have to make sure all communications are secure and PCI compliant."
"Having access to our internet was extremely beneficial. We don't have that functionality now that we have switched to Microsoft Intune. It was definitely better with Blackberry."
"The most valuable features of SOTI MobiControl include location tracking, geofencing, remote device control, and SOTI self-service mobile browsers."
"The most valuable features are remote control, remote monitoring of the mobile phone data, GPS localization, automobile network management, identity management, speaker logging, and remote management of mobile content."
"The other feature, that I have got to say is just leaps and bounds ahead of SOTI's competition, is the remote control feature. It's a true admin remote-control, so we don't have to have somebody on the other side of the device allowing us access to the device... We're able to pull up a tablet or phone and take pictures of it and we can actually videotape what's going on, on the device itself, and that's been huge."
"It's been very stable over the past few years."
"The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing."
"The company's support is the best. That'd be the number one thing."
"SOTI MobiControl is the right solution for customers who want a reliable and low-cost MDM solution."
"It gives us the ability to manage our mobile fleets and push out updates quickly for all of our internal applications to keep the business running. We can push an app update out in minutes..."
"In future releases, I would like to see better integration with Apple products."
"Intune has limited integration with non-Microsoft solutions."
"We would like to see support for Chrome and/or devices for Chromebooks."
"The pricing can be expensive if you are not combining it with other products."
"An area for improvement is the absence of seamless integration, particularly with external dashboards."
"I'm still playing around with it and haven't had any issues with the product yet, but support can definitely be improved."
"It would help if administrators could pinpoint the exact location of a stolen device to help law enforcement retrieve it and apprehend the suspect."
"There are a few security features that are not available in Microsoft Intune, when compared to other products."
"As far as being able to remotely wipe a device, or remove it from the console, this is not simple to do. It is not a one-click motion, as it requires several steps."
"Second level support needs to have strong knowledge of the product."
"I would like more support for Google Chromebook operating system, so I could manage it."
"The console needs improvement. It does not provide all the information that we are looking for as far as who has installed a certain product."
"It would be nice if there was an easier way for team members to get onboarded in regards to what they have to do on the device. There are some programs like Apple DEP and Samsung Knox. Unfortunately, with these programs, to get existing users onto them, you have to factory wipe your device. If it did not have the DEP capabilities, it would be nicer if it did not have so many steps to go through. That is our biggest complaint from team members. It has too many steps."
"They could improve their QA. There are many times where something will be released, a new client will be released, and something gets broken. Or they do a release and they don't take into consideration how some people may be using parts of it. Even though it's supported, they release something and it breaks it because they weren't aware of it. The biggest thing for me right now is, I would like to see improvement in their QA. I'm tired of getting broken software."
"The newest features sometimes pop in very slowly."
"The only thing is that the UEM service is a little slow. We have a product production environment, and a test environment and both of them are a little slow. When you are using the UEM Web interface, it takes time to load."
"For the most part, the application deployment works well. Occasionally, when moving a gun, we'll see that we have to manually intervene, when working with the setup."
"They could organize the software a little bit better, where you access things on the console. It seems like I have to click in three different places in order to get it to go to one area. I should be able to access pretty much any point of the server, whatever I need to touch, from a panel, without having to go click on a menu, then click on the profiles, then click over on Server and go back up to the top and click on the type of device that I have, just to get my applications to show."
"If the interface was a little bit more intuitive, more easily allowed me to get to where I want to be, that would be a little bit nicer, as far as the file sync goes."
"The documentation could be improved in SOTI MobiControl."
"I would like them to improve the process of enrolling Android devices. It's much more difficult to enroll Android devices than it is Windows CE devices. There are a lot more steps required."
"SOTI MobiControl could improve by being more user-friendly."
"They don't have systems that are built for redundancy. You have one database that manages everything and, if that database crashes, you have a problem."
"We're deploying an application upgrade. We can't do more than three or four devices at once, and we don't know if the device actually received the upgrade. There's no indicator saying it's 100 percent complete until everything is done. Let's say I work East to West. I work on the East Coast and I want to confirm it was done with the upgrades in that region. I wouldn't know until I actually went into it. There's no indicator telling me that it's complete."
