Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, JAMF, VMware and others in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)."This product offers an alternative solution to other UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solutions."
"The most valuable feature for us is the security, including risk analysis and patch management."
"I like the tool's integration with Apple. Anyone who creates an ID in Intune will get an Apple ID."
"The security-related tools are excellent; these features allow us to secure devices, lock them down, and ensure compliance."
"I can reach devices or computers over the internet. I don't need to worry about the network connectivity between the offices. I can manage any device. That is the most important part."
"The central administration con dashboard is very easy to use and provides very good oversight on all that needs to be monitored."
"We have found the solution is capable of scaling."
"We are using the mobile feature, and we are also using MDM to lock the devices, to push restrictions, et cetera"
"It keeps things secure, it can remotely wipe the container and it's fairly easy to use."
"Whenever we have issues, people rely on the ability to check messages promptly."
"The containerization of the BlackBerry Dynamics is the most important thing for us. It allows us to keep personal and corporate data separate on a personal device. It allows us to wipe the corporate data while leaving all the personal data in place."
"The functionality with UEM and BlackBerry Works, the shared calendar, is a massive improvement for us."
"We are able to separate personal information and in the event of e breach, we are able to turn off access and/or delete this information."
"Cylance, their newest antivirus product, is the most valuable feature for us so far."
"It has a good ease of use, and its intuitive."
"It does support hardware and operating system configurations from every angle."
"It gives us the ability to manage our mobile fleets and push out updates quickly for all of our internal applications to keep the business running. We can push an app update out in minutes..."
"The other feature, that I have got to say is just leaps and bounds ahead of SOTI's competition, is the remote control feature. It's a true admin remote-control, so we don't have to have somebody on the other side of the device allowing us access to the device... We're able to pull up a tablet or phone and take pictures of it and we can actually videotape what's going on, on the device itself, and that's been huge."
"The SOTI MobiControl Assist tool is very good for remote controlling devices for troubleshooting. SOTI MobiControl is very helpful."
"The feature I find most valuable within Soti is the ability to reset or unlock a device. A lot of the devices that we use are in the field. We have locations in Dallas, San Diego, Seattle, Washington, and Phoenix, Arizona and there isn't always someone, within our company, who is managing these devices. Sometimes it's the doctors' offices that we partner with where they use these devices. Having the ability to remotely reset a device or unlock a device has been super-crucial for me."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The most valuable feature of SOTI MobiControl is the feature to control what software is on the equipment that is authorized."
"We use SOTI MobiControl for managing Android device management."
"The Lockdown Kiosk Mode is very useful... When you have 9,000 people remotely using your applications, you want to make sure that they don't play with Facebook while they're supposed to be working... It also prevents installation of software that could be harmful or compromise the security of the phone."
"Intune has limited integration with non-Microsoft solutions."
"Its configuration is fairly complicated. You have to do quite a bit of discovery to be able to deploy it for a customer. You have to ask them a lot of questions. So, its initial deployment is the biggest challenge. They should make it easier to deploy with the use of Wizards or something else. During the deployment stage, there could be profiles for the customers who are particularly wanting to use certain feature sets of Intune."
"Some enrollment features could be improved."
"Integration with Mac devices requires some improvement."
"I wanted to check if there is any provision at the Intune level to restrict certain things, such as a website, but unfortunately, that feature is available only in Microsoft Defender. Intune has web filtering capabilities, but they are only useful for protection from malicious websites, whereas we would like to be able to restrict a website. For example, YouTube is a clean website. No one would identify it as a malicious website, but if we want to stop the end-users from going to that website, we have to go for another product, such as Microsoft Defender or another third-party proxy solution. It would be great if this capability is included in Intune."
"I'm still playing around with it and haven't had any issues with the product yet, but support can definitely be improved."
"Data leak prevention can be integrated into it. Currently, it does not have data leak prevention."
"Once it's configured it is unobtrusive, but it does take some hands-on to configure and deploy it properly."
"It would be nice if there was an easier way for team members to get onboarded in regards to what they have to do on the device. There are some programs like Apple DEP and Samsung Knox. Unfortunately, with these programs, to get existing users onto them, you have to factory wipe your device. If it did not have the DEP capabilities, it would be nicer if it did not have so many steps to go through. That is our biggest complaint from team members. It has too many steps."
"It would be ideal if there was something for communication with Microsoft tools like Teams or Skype for Business, or perhaps even with Zoom for conference calls."
"The entry level support needs improvement, but a lot of it has to do with the fact that we do not have premium support. Therefore, we have to go through Level 1 support for any issues."
"The newest features sometimes pop in very slowly."
"What we don't have at the moment is RDP from the device to some kind of PC. Another feature would be access to a delegate's mailbox and I think that is to come in one of the next releases. There have been a lot of requests for that type of feature where, for example, a secretary can access the mailbox of the boss."
"Second level support needs to have strong knowledge of the product."
"More devices supported like iOS, Android, and API so it can support various platforms to enhance the experience."
"The only thing is that the UEM service is a little slow. We have a product production environment, and a test environment and both of them are a little slow. When you are using the UEM Web interface, it takes time to load."
"I would like to see some SMS integration so people can send data directly from a mobile phone through SMS when there's no internet."
"For the most part, the application deployment works well. Occasionally, when moving a gun, we'll see that we have to manually intervene, when working with the setup."
"I have used Microsoft Intune but it is more complicated than SOTI MobiControl."
"Its user interface needs to be improved."
"Reporting could be better. When I try to run a report, it doesn't have a filter or even a feature where I can choose what I have in the report. That's been a struggle since the first time I used it so I just don't touch it anymore."
"There is room for improvement in the support."
"They should improve the lockdown feature."
"The solution could use better reporting."
