Find out in this report how the two Network Monitoring Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."
"Scalability and flexibility. The product can grow with your infrastructure so you don't have to install other products. Just add components. It's very simple."
"It gives us visibility inside applications. It helps us to dig down and find the root cause of any issue within the network."
"DX UIM is scalable."
"What I like about DX Unified Infrastructure Management is that it's a very good product. The feature I found most valuable in the solution is the MCS feature, which is the automatic deployment of the objects you want to monitor. You can set up a system, for example, if it's a Windows machine and I want to test specific devices on it, I could do that through DX Unified Infrastructure Management. That type of deployment is very good because it means you won't miss any monitoring aspect on any server."
"It is easy to implement but requires good planning."
"I can use the Drag and Drop feature to build dashboards within minutes."
"It delivers our customers many metrics, so they may make decisions"
"You can scale it pretty much however way you want to as long as you have the servers to throw at it."
"Nagios is a custom API manager, and we can expose custom APIs for our integration. This is a great feature."
"The most valuable feature of Nagios XI is customization. We can customize based on our requirements. We can do modifications and implement a lot of scripts. Additionally, it is easy to use."
"BPI: It allows defining peripherals to map business criticality for efficient monitoring, as required."
"It is an open-source platform with valuable features for performance and stability."
"Nagios is stable and it's easy to use the monitoring software, which is why we chose this product."
"This is a very good solution and it is simple to use, for any company."
"The solution is pretty stable."
"The most valuable feature is the monitoring of processes."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"The dashboards need to be improved."
"It is a little complex to use versus other softwares."
"The biggest feature that I've been hoping they would enhance on is inventory management: things like adding/removing nodes."
"Making a GUI with criteria such as selection by robot/hub/probe etc."
"In the UMP, certain devices will show up multiple times and they don't correlate correctly. That's one of the issues."
"I'd also like to see more probes. More probes in the sense that we were coming across devices that we're expected to monitor and manage for which, out of the box, there isn't a nice, clean solution. There are probes that are dedicated for certain devices and certain device types, which is great. But then there are times we come across nuanced products that we have to develop our own solution for. There are probes that exist in there that allow us to make a customized solution, but it takes a lot more time."
"We want to see more investment in the UI and the dashboard."
"I'm very happy with DX Unified Infrastructure Management, but what could be improved is its user interface because currently, it has many wide spaces. All the information you need is in DX Unified Infrastructure Management, and it's a reliable tool, and though that's more important than the gaps in the user interface being smaller or wider, those gaps still need some improvement. I know the team is working on it. My company had some backend problems with DX Unified Infrastructure Management in the past that have now been solved. The setup for the tool also needs improvement because it's complex. Another room for improvement in DX Unified Infrastructure Management is its technical support because it's sometimes not as knowledgeable or responsive. What I'm suggesting to be added to the tool is an open-standard ELK Elastic-based database where you can put in all data, so that you can use the data in other systems as well."
"There's room for improvement in the visibility, and in the ability to extract information. Stuff like this should be more simple."
"They need more documentation for the plugins."
"I would like to be able to extend it to all of our data centers, whether they are in the cloud or not. It would be helpful if I could connect everywhere."
"The scalability of Nagios XI is scalable. However, it is not easy to do."
"We often need to develop custom plugins to get Nagios to work the way we want it to work because the features we need are not always available in Nagios."
"It can be quite difficult to know which drivers and agents to use when setting up."
"I would like to see more customization in the network map because it is a bit tricky to use it."
"The installation and monitoring need improvement."
