"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."
"Nagios is stable and it's easy to use the monitoring software, which is why we chose this product."
"The most valuable feature of Nagios XI is customization. We can customize based on our requirements. We can do modifications and implement a lot of scripts. Additionally, it is easy to use."
"I can monitor a phone on a desk to very big servers of any company."
"Nagios XI helped me to draw the network and check for system failures."
"Nagios XI is stable."
"The solution has a lot of plugins and scripts integrated with it."
"The solution is pretty stable."
"This is a very good solution and it is simple to use, for any company."
"The flexible licensing model is one of the solution's most valuable aspects. It really allows for great flexibility for companies."
"Our customers also like that they don't have to use multiple modules. Micro Focus and major vendors typically require you to buy several modules and plugins. Our customers do not like that. We offer them a single product for all their monitoring needs."
"The pricing of the product is reasonable."
"Every new asset placed in the environment can be automatically detected, predicting human failures."
"Its overall flexibility is most valuable. When our customers have some custom applications that are not necessarily covered by the community or a standard monitoring tool, we use Zabbix to build our own modules with our own templates. This feature has been useful in using Zabbix for infrastructure and IT monitoring. It has also been useful for industrial equipment monitoring. Zabbix is very lightweight. It is efficient in terms of performance because it doesn't use a lot of resources."
"During my testing, the features that I like the most are that it can be integrated with my system, and it provides me with reports of all of my servers."
"It meets my organizational needs. It's pretty easy to use."
"It has good graphs of what is going on within the operating system."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"The way Nagios displays information isn't easy for a new user to understand. It's not intuitive enough. You need to read some tutorials or be trained to understand what it's displaying. Also, I think it needs more features to improve network visibility because there are some things you can't detect."
"They need more documentation for the plugins."
"I would like to be able to extend it to all of our data centers, whether they are in the cloud or not. It would be helpful if I could connect everywhere."
"I would like a much easier GUI so that I can delete events and logs, which will free up a lot of space."
"The product uses the backend as Perl and could be modified to a more lightweight solution like what's being offered by other vendors."
"I would like to see more customization in the network map because it is a bit tricky to use it."
"We often need to develop custom plugins to get Nagios to work the way we want it to work because the features we need are not always available in Nagios."
"The interface could be more user-friendly."
"We would like to see the addition of automatic push functionality to this product. This would save time when monitoring our servers and networks as, at present, we have to manually install the Zabbix agent on any hardware to be monitored."
"We had some scalability issues with a large number of nodes."
"The solution needs to add features for finding loopholes or problems and their root causes."
"The documentation could be improved."
"We would like to monitor other touchpoints such as ATM machines. It would be great if it can provide monitoring of ATM machines. Compatibility with other products would also be great."
"Sometimes, the documentation is a little bit written in Estonia – a country in Europe. The language barrier and translation to English can sometimes make it difficult to understand what they're trying to get at. It's just a language thing."
"Zabbix claims that there is an auto-discovery process but my team member was facing difficulty and was told that it's not really automatic, and there are some manual steps."
"One of the things we don't like is that Zabbix has a license structure with a price that is high compared to the competition. It's very high, for example, compared to something like Microsoft Teams."

ZABBIX ... of course :)
We are working with this wonderful monitoring tool since 2008
ZABBIX ... of course :)
We have been working with this wonderful monitoring tool since 2007 (before we had used Nagios, Openview, Whatsup, Hobbitmon, etc) and until now we haven't seen any limitations in our projects.
If you need to learn a little bit more about 'how to customize ZABBIX' you can search about:
- ZABBIX UserParameters;
- ZABBIX pluggable modules;
- ZABBIX LLD;
- ZABBIX API;
I think this things will help a lot to know how to extend/customize ZABBIX.
