Pros
"The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE is its ease of use.""The setup isn't too difficult.""The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE is its ability to handle large volumes of data and provide traditional BI functionalities that developers can easily understand.""It has helped to consolidate data and report on a single version of the truth.""The main features of this solution are that it is easy to use, intuitive, and user-friendly. When I retrieve the data from the database it is in a very raw form, then when I use the Oracle Report Builder it has advanced intelligence features to allow me to view and make changes to the data easily.""The visualization is very good.""Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten...The solution's initial setup was straightforward.""I like the scheduling feature. It has an inbuilt scheduler which is very good, and it allows us to create agents, and those agents can be scheduled. It's quite flexible in that respect and goes into our IT infrastructure. The outputs are sent encrypted to various endpoints. Some are internal, and some are our clients, and it's encrypted at a high level. I do find Oracle OBIEE flexible. If there is stuff that's not in your model or schema, it's very flexible to create SQL scripts and create the data you want. It's quite nice to create a dashboard in OBIEE, and that's pretty straightforward in the way you drag and drop everything. You can create sections, and you can add elements to your page. That bit of the interface is relatively straightforward."

"The most useful feature of QlikView for me is the QVD concept.""The search feature: ability to see the related data.""A well designed app brings freedom of inquiry to meetings, allowing me to answer questions in real time and this has transformed progress and outputs of our monthly group meeting.""It excels in supporting database connections and various database types.""The integration with Salesforce has helped us gain access to crucial sales data in real-time.""Our Qlikview applications help us to get a good idea of our Client Base Performance and assist us in the decision making for Seasonal Specials. On the other hand QlikView helps us to get a grasp on our Suppliers and helps us to negotiate pricing with them.""We use QlikView for its cost-effectiveness and ease of integration with databases.""It enables us to configure various elements, such as dashboard settings, including factors like color schemes and other customization parameters."

Cons
"The performance could improve and in a future release, they could provide more virtualization options.""It should have more self-service capabilities.""It needs a better security management system.""Essbase integration needs to be worked on.""This solution is weak in the data science perspective. I have past data science experience. And, I find that there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of incorporating more advanced statistical modeling into the product.""Oracle OBIEE only displays KPIs, but it does not include strategic objectives or display risk in a strategic map.""There are times we have slowness when processing the reports with Oracle OBIEE. Improving the performance would be beneficial.""n the beginning it had it's stability issues, but it became stable."

"They could improve the speed.""The user interface is old.""It would be nice if QlikView could be plugged in into the company's website or an online portal such as QlikSense is capable of. There are ways around but it takes enormous time to develop.""QlikView's UI could be more user-friendly.""Improvements are required in the hide and unhide functionality that falls under the layout container feature that has been used in my company in recent times.""They could improve the update time.""Needs improvement with UI transparency.""There is a challenge on the frontend when it comes to browsing data through QlikView, as it isn't entirely compatible with other platforms we use."

    Reviews from Real Users

Sandeep V., Process System Engineer at a comms service provider, tells us, “This solution is very easy for people who are building ad-hoc things. It's an enterprise solution so it can be deployed for a lot of users. There are some great new features that come with the 12c like data visualization, desktop BI Publisher, automation, and interactive dashboards. The product has good features. “

A user who is a CEO at a consultancy relates, “The most valuable feature is the visualization. The data warehousing, data storage, and data wrangling are all features that are in there, and it's one of the better products out there. A good thing is that for large datasets, it's very stable, especially when you have an Oracle database.”

A user who is a Principal Business Intelligence Architect at a computer software company suggests, "It is very biased towards Oracle infrastructure. One of the major red flags we have at the moment against Oracle is that it doesn't support deployment on other cloud providers. We're quite heavily vested in AWS as our infrastructure, and Oracle is yet to formally support deploying on those virtual infrastructure instances. That's quite disappointing, and it also cuts them out of over 70% of the market."

QlikView is a Business Intelligence tool that allows you to keep tabs on all of your business-related information in a clean, clear, and easy to access database that is intuitive to build and simple to navigate. It is ideal for business owners who wish to improve overall output by creating the most productive system possible.
