We performed a comparison between Citrix Endpoint Management and SOTI MobiControl based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Autopilot is the most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune."
"Intune device restriction policies enable me to enforce limitations on the device, like blocking the mobile camera or restricting the employees from using and inserting USB devices, including thumb drives and flash drives."
"We are a remote company, and the product helps us manage the global endpoints. It helps us natively manage the endpoints in the cloud from anywhere."
"The standout features of Intune are its excellent mobile device management and highly effective application management capabilities."
"The synchronization of Intune with other Microsoft solutions is a valuable feature."
"There has been a noticeable increase in productivity for both my organization and clients."
"For the price, the features included with Microsoft are appealing."
"I like that we can implement conditional access."
"A valuable feature of Citrix Endpoint Management is that it's stable. The stability is not a challenge among the move to the cloud."
"The product is capable of acting in many different ways to help secure architecture."
"ShareFile, in particular, is valuable with its ease of sharing, and the best category security that is in the hands of users."
"The MAM applications of the product are great."
"We have seen improvements in compliance management on the devices."
"The most valuable feature is the fact that I can manage my devices remotely."
"One of the most valuable features is the ease of moving items from one configuration to another; it's a Windows-like setup. Also, the admin console is very easy to manage and to move through."
"The installation is very straightforward."
"Among the valuable features are managing configurations of all devices and being able to remote into devices... We send out configurations for each site that has its devices. Each site has a different configuration, and SOTI manages each configuration for each site"
"The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing."
"All features are useful. It is useful for preventing the use of unauthorized software on corporate-owned devices. It provides an option to lock the devices for unauthorized software. The devices can only be used under the supervision of the device manager."
"The ease of access was awesome. The guys helping us out were pretty fluent in the product. I currently have two devices in a dashboard that we're testing, but the solution that they have is awesome. I like that it's a cloud-based based solution, and I think there will be some significant cost savings."
"One of the most valuable features is the remote control. If there are issues in the field, we can remote into those devices and see what kind of issues they are."
"In the past, I raised some tickets for the enhancement feature, which was missing in Intune."
"The difficulty of the the roll out is surprisingly difficult considering this product is supposed to be an integrated part of the 365 suite."
"Microsoft needs to enhance device-level security, as sometimes when using Microsoft Intune, the device's operating system becomes stuck and requires a full uninstall to remove the Intune bug."
"The product needs to upgrade itself when the server is overloaded."
"Reporting could be improved. It needs to be more expensive and robust."
"There needs to be more support for Mac operating systems."
"I would like to see micro VPN. I like the way that some of the other providers have done something similar where, as you open that app on an end-point device, it creates a micro VPN straight into your device, which is quite a nice little feature. Also, Microsoft Intune relies heavily on its fellow products in the suite. It would be nice if Microsoft Intune could stand on its own two feet."
"The installation could be improved to be simplified."
"Requires integrating with ABM before enabling some of the features."
"The tool’s battery usage was high."
"Support for inventory management of Apple devices should be added."
"Citrix needs to improve the architecture. They also need to strengthen the application integration. They keep referring to some things to be required as security, and they keep selling the next level and on-premise separately. They should give the customer the opportunity to decide whether they want to use the next level on-premise or on-cloud, but they should not charge additional fees if the customer wants to deploy the next level on-premise because the customer is already being charged as the end user. They should allow next level on-premise optimization without any additional charges."
"SOTI MobiControl could improve by being more user-friendly."
"Reporting could be better. When I try to run a report, it doesn't have a filter or even a feature where I can choose what I have in the report. That's been a struggle since the first time I used it so I just don't touch it anymore."
"We're deploying an application upgrade. We can't do more than three or four devices at once, and we don't know if the device actually received the upgrade. There's no indicator saying it's 100 percent complete until everything is done. Let's say I work East to West. I work on the East Coast and I want to confirm it was done with the upgrades in that region. I wouldn't know until I actually went into it. There's no indicator telling me that it's complete."
"The scalability is horizontal, not vertical. One machine has to have all the accounts. That's one of the issues that we have found with scalability: You always have to keep the same machine. If you want to add a second machine, you need to split the account and that removes flexibility of management."
"In the next release, they should make it easier to migrate."
"They could organize the software a little bit better, where you access things on the console. It seems like I have to click in three different places in order to get it to go to one area. I should be able to access pretty much any point of the server, whatever I need to touch, from a panel, without having to go click on a menu, then click on the profiles, then click over on Server and go back up to the top and click on the type of device that I have, just to get my applications to show."
"I have used Microsoft Intune but it is more complicated than SOTI MobiControl."
"The management console could be improved to be a little bit more user-friendly. Some of the stuff is a little bit cumbersome, some of it feels like an engineering solution, but otherwise it's pretty good."
