"Setting up Veeam is easy, and it's portable, too."
"Veeam ONE effectively centralizes the view of different tools."
"The most valuable features of Veeam ONE are the backup reports, such as the status of the storage."
"I like the tool's backup."
"Veeam ONE has proven to be a reliable tool not just for backups but also for general hypervisor management."
"The tool is a stable backup solution."
"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward for me."
"It has been useful for monitoring, troubleshooting, and assessing our environment, as well as for investigating bottlenecks."
"Instead of having a lot of people spend time doing manual tasks, it allows us to have dashboards and instantly show us any issues that we have, rather than trolling through log files."
"It has improved our organization with respect to allowing us to size our environments correctly. We get metrics about what our stuff is actually using, how we can scope for future projects, where can we save some resources."
"The alerting feature would be the most valuable feature for us. It gathers more metrics. In the latest versions, there are metrics that are being exactly captured with vCenter which are a bit better. Aside for that it provides a historical analysis of metrics over time."
"The most valuable features for us are some of the trending and analysis on workloads. It doesn't just look to see if something is maximized at 100%. It figures out what the normal is for the application, so it's not just if something is maxed out and causing a problem, but if something is higher than normal or running outside of its normal range. This helps us to identify something that other products might not necessarily note as an issue."
"It enables me to anticipate our system needs, to be able to know if a host is overloaded, to be able to move things off of it... vROps has really helped us focus in on where the trouble spots are, to be able to alleviate those problems before they even become problems, so it's great."
"I like the monitoring aspect. One of the biggest things in our environment is being able to see what the entire vCenter environment looks like. The health status, being able to determine when we're having issues with resources, utilization, memory, or CPU."
"Valuable features include the PowerCLI module and the ability to do scripting, to pull information out, to simplify reporting and troubleshooting. Being able to gather metrics, or to gather information to alert on it, or to be able to present it in a report, is crucial because, even if the interface is fast, we want to be able to do everything faster through automation. The fact that that's being developed more and more is very important."
"The initial setup was very straightforward. We spent a few days setting it up, then it was up and running."
"Veeam ONE could improve by having capacity planning, intelligent automatization, and ransomware."
"I face difficulties when trying to deploy Veeam ONE because my active directory restricts some particular rights."
"Backup management features are crucial for ensuring the reliability and automation of backup processes."
"When you have to renew the licenses you sometimes have some trouble getting rid of the old one and reassigning it to the new one. That's an aspect that could run smoother and could be better."
"The support, reporting part and customization should all be improved."
"The threshold could be easier to configure."
"It would be great if Veeam ONE had a business hour reporting feature because sometimes a client would want to know what workers do during business hours and outside of business hours. This type of report will give you the added benefit when you're scaling up and scaling down in the cloud, for example, if I wanted to swap hot and cold storage during specific hours to save on cost. Business hour reporting in Veeam ONE will give you a lot of benefits and added value. Scalability needs to be improved in the solution."
"For our company's usage, the price of the product is considered to be one of the major drawbacks because we have a lot of infrastructure, and its services don't fit well with our needs."
"It was just a case of going in, looking around, learning it, and just getting a little bit of initial help for a few days."
"I haven't had to use technical support for this version but I have had to use them in the past with other versions. There have been some challenges with them. It's hard to get through to the right person and resolving issues in previous versions was hard."
"I'd like to see the streamlining of more wizards, more tasks that are canned. And it would also be good to see some more features around building the Blueprints, just to make it a little easier."
"For me, the technical support is the biggest problem. I've been working with them since 2016 and in the first years their response was faster than it is today. That is a problem. Also, I need to put together and send them a lot of information. And then I wait one day, two days. The support has been getting worse over the last few years. They need to improve it."
"vROps is user-friendly, but configuration is a little bit hard. It is also hard if you want to customize it for your data center, especially without VMware training. The user interface should be improved so that a new user can easily configure it for his own use."
"It is a bit complex, so you need to spend time with it."
"I wouldn't say that this solution is user-friendly. You need to know a lot of tricks to know how to use it. It's quite buggy and quite slow when it comes to loading."
"I know that they talk a lot about AI and a sort of forecasting ahead of time. It's a good application, but it has to wait for a certain period of time to actually do an analysis. If it would give you that ahead of time, or even forecasting, it would be really improved."
