Find out in this report how the two Server Virtualization Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."This solution allows the end users to clone, start, stop, or remotely control their VMs."
"Citrix Hypervisor does a great job overall, such as the virtualization of the host. It's very easy to manage the virtual machine, to create, and configure high availability."
"I've found the following features to be the most valuable: user personalization layer, app layering, provisioning, and notification services for integration between different domains."
"This is a dependable solution for virtualization with a good community for product support."
"The continued uptime of our virtual machines is good."
"This is a good product for virtualization and it is easy to use."
"The support for this solution is phenomenal."
"Citrix Hypervisor is simple to use."
"I like that it is free and runs on Linux/Ubuntu - I wouldn't use any other solution. I am able to perform small developing tests."
"Oracle VM VirtualBox has a platform where the support team responds to frequently asked questions by its users. Every time I have had issues with Oracle VM VirtualBox, I always get a solution from Oracle's online platform or GitHub."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"The most valuable aspects of the solution were the support and performance of the product and the flexibility it gives you to work."
"It is a stable product."
"The solution is very convenient and easy to use."
"It's a pretty good product in terms of monitoring."
"The pause feature is valuable. I can pause, which is something that not all hypervisors allow. The snapshot feature is also valuable."
"Assigning the order of virtual server startup is not very easy and this can be improved."
"It needs to have a more robust backup solution."
"I am not very sure about how flexible Citrix Hypervisor is with different types of infrastructures. I only know it is flexible with Nutanix, but I am not sure if it is also flexible with others. They can make its integration with other platforms or OEMs easy. They should also make it easy for users to manage their infrastructure. Citrix should make compatibility information related to a hypervisor easily available in a datasheet. Citrix isn't really recognized in this part of the world, and they need to expand their solution and make it more available. There are a lot of customers and companies that are looking for a solution like Citrix, and it should be available in this part of the world. They need to educate people more. Technically, it is good and flexible and has good ability, but it is not as much known as VMware or Microsoft. Their support should also be improved. Currently, if you don't have an updated version, they will not give you the attention."
"It can be useful to have a web management program because we have to install our client-server. We have to properly manage the host, if we had administration tools through a web interface it would be a benefit."
"The built-in networking features are a little limited."
"The product could be faster and licensing options could be improved."
"Live migration is something that can be improved."
"The self-service user portal needs to be more granular and be more customizable."
"The solution is a bit less stable than I would like."
"Oracle VMs don't have a solid web interface of their own. This is an area where Oracle is lagging behind. Now, we use headless servers, install Oracle VMs, and manage them remotely. We could use phpVirtual Box, but it is a third-party solution. A lot of people contribute to it, and it's not authenticated by Oracle. As a result, I don't find it to be a good option. Therefore, I would like to see Oracle offer an extension pack or a licensed version that fixes this problem."
"The solution needs to improve its flexibility. It's not as flexible as VMware."
"One valuable feature would be for it to work right the first time but it doesn't necessarily do that."
"They could improve the graphics functionality of the product."
"The communications setup lags. It does not connect properly so the batching and networking is a bit slow."
"This should have better support for multiple network cards and some parts of the GUI should be improved."
"It could improve slightly with enhanced reporting capabilities that show the current status of the network."
