It is a stable product. Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight and a half out of ten.

In terms of stability, Oracle OBIEE can occasionally encounter issues such as UI unavailability, which may require server-side fixes. However, overall, it provides a stable platform for business intelligence and analytics tasks.

It is a stable solution. But, once in a while, it needs to restart due to memory issues.

I've never encountered any downtime issues with Oracle OBIEE. It's been working smoothly, and it's quite reliable. I would rate it 8 out of 10.

Oracle OBIEE is quite stable.

It's generally rock solid. In fact, when I used to teach people, I used to say, "Don't worry, experiment. You can't break it." It can be broken, but most people with the access that they are given are not going to break it. I would rate it a 10 out of 10 in terms of stability.

The stability of the solution depends on how much data. Right now, I don't have the scope to look into that kind of environment with a large data scale. Maybe people working in banks, like those who operate worldwide, with a lot of data, can speak on the solution's stability.

It is a stable platform. I rate the stability a ten out of ten.

Oracle OBIEE is a scary and stable product since it is a strong and well-created tool, but it can be heavy on our company's systems compared to Microsoft's tools. In short, the solution is stable since it works properly every day.

There is high stability with this solution.

The solution is quite stable and we're able to manage a lot of data. 

This is a pretty stable solution. There is also good help from Oracle.

There are no issues with day-to-day activities so it's pretty stable. The new versions have improved and even with a lot of people logging in, it's solid. 

Performance was the primary reason for switching from OBIEE to Qlik Sense.

There were issues mainly because of a Java memory leak.

The solution is very stable. I've been involved in this product for close to 14 years now, even before Oracle acquired Siebel. The initial Siebel Analytics did some good generation of BI.

There wasn’t a lot of advancement made initially, but later the architecture changed and it was taken to the next generation with a lot of new, rich, and cool features like mobile, geo-spatial integration, and integration with new data sources. It's been great.

For stability, in the back end, you have the Oracle database. You can use In-Memory.

In terms of stability, I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. However, there have been occasional issues with the reports crashing, although this happens rarely.

The solution isn't exactly stable. There are some reports, for example, in relation to email compliance or other policies that are not working as they should. We're actually migrating off of OBIEE's reports to Crystal Reports as some functionality is just not possible.

Its stability is good.

It is a stable product. It depends for downtime. For the repository and repository refresh, you don't need that. It has both online and offline options but you can do the online repository upload as well.

It is very stable. It is much stronger than any other solution that I've seen till now. I have heard that Microsoft's solution goes down, but Oracle is very stable.

The stability of the product has been very good. I've been very impressed with the product itself, considering all the users that we have online and being able to prepare the reports that they need.

It is quite stable. We've never had any issues with it; overall, it is very good.

Most of the time the solution is stable but it depends on who is doing the set up configuration. A senior person will know how much memory is required, without that there might be problems. So lots of configuration files need to be optimized according to the usage. There may also be other parameters that need to be set up and if you are aware of this then the system will be stable. 

I haven't had much chance to really test the stability, however, I don't recall any instances of trouble.

It's stable. The data is 100% accurate. In regards to stability, it's good. Only sometimes, maintenance is an issue, otherwise the performance is OK.

Stability of OBIEE is very dependent on, and varies on, the hardware and Operating Systems of every organization. From experience, I have noticed OBIEE running on Linux has very few stability issues when compared to Windows.

It's been pretty stable. We've had no issues with stability.

OBIEE is a little unstable in our environment. The server/service has to reboot/restart every couple days, otherwise, users will see errors when they access reports.

I have not been using it long enough to pass judgment on the stability of the product.

I wouldn't say it's that stable. We are using it in production and we used to have one failure per month. When we're not able to figure out the reason, we just restart the services to sort it out. That might be an environmental issue, we're not sure. It could also be a tool issue. When we approached Oracle support, we could not find out exactly what caused the instability.

There were some issues in the first few weeks with the services crashing with little or no meaningful messages in the log files, but these seemed to clear up and no issues have been encountered since. They have been put down to the developers being a little over enthusiastic with what they were trying as they were learning the product. Now they know what they are doing, all is ok.

The solution is stable.

It was a little bit tedious to install a new release.

OBIEE requires a whole ecosystem to run smoothly, it requires a stable infrastructure with minimum compute power standards, and  Besides of having the right infrastructure(for the OBIEE application), the database setup (init params) is also important.

 It is as stable as the knowledge the team has about the product and how to manage that,

Every project is has its own challenges, sometimes technical, sometimes acceptance, different environments , different approaches, different perceptions .

Stability is okay. It meets our current requirements.

It is a stable solution. We have been using it since it was Siebel; since before Oracle acquired Siebel. It has been almost 15-16 years. It's pretty old. Now, with the new release, they're adding on more and more capabilities.

We've had some stability pain points with OBIEE. Operationally it's fine, but cloning causes big stability problems.

Oracle OBIEE is very stable. The only issue have is scheduling too much at the same time. It can get overloaded, and unfortunately, like most things, there are always bottlenecks. 

You're actually pushing it down a tunnel in effect, and if that tunnel's not large enough, it can't cope with the load. Some of the files and some reports are a lot bigger, and OBIEE has a limited 64,000 rows of output. It's not suitable for really extracting large amounts of data.

If I wanted to extract all the transactions on a report for one particular day, then that would blow the 64,000 rows of output. This means that we have to run it separately, and we can't schedule it. It has to be a manual task, or we have to get work done by our development people to provide that report as a standard report. This can be quite difficult at times.

It is stable. Once you go through a long process and get everything working, it does work. There's a lot of time and effort that needs to go into the solution before you get the results that you want.

It is a stable product. It has it's own life cycle and as the near future comes, it takes its own time, but once it gets stabilized, we're pretty much good.

Oracle OBIEE is quite stable. 

Super stable. In the initial phase, 10 years back when we started using it, at that point, it was a bit finicky, but it's been perfect.

I would say it's pretty stable. We've had no issues with instability.

It's a stable product, but Oracle products generally conflict when they're deployed in the same box.

The product does not provide an automatic system maintenance service, thus log files continue to be collected on the disk up until it is full and it causes the whole platform stop. It requires continuous manual monitoring and deletion of log files.

I rate the stability of the solution a seven out of ten. We have faced one issue with the solution. If the data is large, the dashboard takes a really long time. So, based on the database, if you have around a million cost contacts, the load time is very low, and the dashboard fails. Oracle can improve it. Even if the data set is more, the load time should be less so that the business can use it in hand and not wait for them to load.

Oracle OBIEE is a stable product.

I have not encountered any stability issues with BI, but I did encounter stability issues with WebLogic.

The 12c version is much more stable than previous versions. We've had no real issues with instability.

We have experienced bottlenecks due to an increased load causing users to fail to login, or too many stuck threads. Perhaps the linkage between BI and Weblogic needs to be optimized to improve stability.

The latest version of OBIEE is very stable, especially if it’s running on TimesTen for Exalytics.

I've been using it for the last three years, and we never faced any such issues.

This is a very stable product.

The solution is stable. In fact, we are working to build out capabilities so that users who might use Tableau or Power BI can handle reports and other tasks right on top of this product. We're working to make it even more flexible for future users. So far, it's going very well.

It does need some level of tuning but more or less, it is stable.

We have had several downtimes. I'm not in IT, so I don't know the infrastructure behind it, but we have quite a lot of downtime. That means we only realize it when the report doesn't appear in the inbox at a certain time.

We have some stability issues. We periodically refresh the data from the Oracle EBS to OBIEE. Sometimes you can’t see the data and we have to run ad hoc reports to push us through that confusion.

In the beginning it had it's stability issues, but it became stable. It's better now. I think we are in more of a "cruising" stage in our product lifecycle.

We did hire consulting services to help us implement. Then our superusers took it from there and went to a lot of sessions and user groups to better understand.

We run an older version right now, so we haven't made any changes to it. It's stable in its current state, and we haven't had any issues with instability.

Performance drops right down with high levels of users (esp when we have on Oracle RAC – improved when we moved to ODA)

Oracle products are all stable. We deployed Oracle OBIEE version 11 at the national revenue authority four years ago, and since then we've run more than 400 reports on an Oracle X5 server. It still runs smoothly with no issues.

I have found Oracle OBIEE to be stable.

No broad impact

Stability is 9 out of 10. It's pretty stable, but once in a while, we get some issues.

Since we only just implemented it about 1.5 years ago, we still haven't gone live yet. We still have a lot of security issues that need to be resolved, so we don't know.

Stability is very good. We've had good success using the product.

I am not sure if this is relevant, but there was one time when we configured the SSL for OBIEE 11.1.1.7 and we were unable to create new users. We did this to two servers, but the issue only happened to one server. The Oracle Support consultant we talked to wasn’t able to resolve this. I’ve since left the organization and am not sure if it has been resolved.

The overall OBIEE architecture is quiet stable. Although, we have faced issues infrequently where the application has crashed.

It's rock solid. We've had absolutely no issues with instability.

I'd say it's pretty stable. With anything that's web-based, there are some issues with browsers, but nothing huge that's obvious.

But with some of the ETL processes, such as bringing in new pieces of data like cost categories, anything from the EBS Suite into the cube, you can get issues.

It is a stable product and I think we are on the latest and greatest. We are in the process of upgrading to 12c, and any product you take, it will have some issues, so it's not something we run into a lot of issues with.

It's pretty stable. Now that it's the cloud era, the company is supporting it 24/7. If there is any issue, it's very well supported. It's very stable in our eyes. 

OBIEE crashes when many people login at the same time.

We've had issues with stability, both hiccups and large. One issue we had was difficulty with error logs. We've had to dive really deep in order to find error logs. If someone asks for them, you really have to know where to look.

Yes, at one client we upgraded versions and lost functionality due to the fact that Oracle had stopped supporting Office 2007. In the newer versions, we had to go through a lot of trouble to get the functionality to work, it was a very simple thing. In the newer version, when we exported graphs it ignored the lines and the tables were merged into a single line, and you can imagine why the management were not happy with that.

I don't find the stability of this product to be great.

Stability-wise, they still have a lot to improve, especially when you have a lot of data coming out of SQL. For example, if I have to see a million requests, most of the time it crashes.

Other than the integration with the ASCP base, there are some issues with exporting big Excel files. Oracle support says we should expect this though, because there is a limitation on the size of export files. Everything else is quite stable.

It has been consistently stable for us, and we have not had any downtime. We haven’t pushed it that much.

Yes, but not with the tool. It’s important to decide the kind of hardware you want to run your BI installation on. If the hardware is not up to the task of handling a 100 users at a time, the BI system won’t throw alarms at you, instead the BI system gets stuck. In ideal situations, you should have a standalone server with a dedicated file system for a BI installation.

The other thing we have experienced is if the data load takes a long time, Oracle doesn't give any out-of-the-box solution to have the reports run out of a snapshot. Thus, if any data is being run/aggregated, then the report goes down. If it takes a very long time then your report goes down for even longer.

There is an issue with the handling of the cache in the BI server.

It works well. I think it was more of the implementation that we faced. Once we got the kinks worked out of it, it seems to work pretty well. The load seems to be completely maintainable.

This is definitely a stable solution.

One feedback would be that their upgrade is not as easy as other cloud solutions. You have to install the software again and migrate the repositories. That's kind of bad; that's a negative.

Nonetheless, it could serve as a business solution for the whole organization, multiple business teams, and so on.

On-premise, when data grows exponentially, stability issues have been experienced.

When using Essbase, queries accumulated in the BI server and degraded its performance.
