Thomas Maurer works as a Cloud Architect at itnetx gmbh, a consulting and engineering company located in Bern/Switzerland, which has been awarded by Microsoft as “Microsoft Datacenter Partner of the Year for the past three years (2011,2012,2013). Thomas is focused on Microsoft Technologies, especially Microsoft Cloud Solutions based Microsoft System Center, Microsoft Virtualization and Windows Azure. This includes Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, Storage, Networking and Windows Azure Pack as well as Service Management Automation.

Before Thomas joined itnetx he has worked as Head of Microsoft Engineering for service provider where he was responsible for planning and implementing public cloud solutions based on Microsoft Technology.

Beside the certifications as Microsoft Certified IT Professional MCITP: Enterprise Administrator and MCTIP: Virtualization Administrator he is also one of the first Microsoft Certified Solution Experts for Private Cloud solutions and Server Infrastructure (MCSE: Private Cloud & MCSE: Server Infrastructure).

In 2012 Thomas Maurer was awarded the first time by Microsoft with the Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Award for his expertise in Virtual Machine (Hyper-V).

Thomas works closely with Microsoft and partners to promote Microsoft Technology as speaker for Microsoft and other Technical events such as Microsoft TechDays (http://www.techdays.ch), E2EVC (http://www.e2evc.com) or Geekmania (www.geekmania.ch).
