Onelogin has adapted to become reliable and supportive in customer service.
We primarily use Onelogin for SSO, but have been using the service for device trust as well It has made things easier to manage. All users obtain the correct apps to deliver on their role without much Admin intervention after Onboarding. The most valuable features are SSO and device trust. These…

A robust cloud-based multi-factor solution with a good customer support team
I wonder if there are multi factors in improving. It's always a deterrent to productivity, naturally. Since I've been on this journey for three years, I've seen the product improve in the sense that it's less impact on productivity. In the beginning days, we had challenges with paying, finding the network, and signing its back-end service in the cloud. However, that's been drastically improved over the years. The other thing we did was allow users to manage their device profiles. So they can either go in and register on Ubiquiti or a phone directly with the user interface now or web interface, and they can also set their default device which they want to use. So they, like Ubiqui working with PingID, tend to be the default of choice. So they set their Ubiquiti to the default device. And then whenever MFA is prompted, they have the Ubiquiti or default device. So that was a great improvement. And the way we implemented PingID, it's the same user interface regardless if you're getting into VPN, the vault applications, or a laptop or desktop. So it's the same user interface to manage profiles centrally on a server. Hence if they change it for one use case, they change it for another.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's ability to save and manage of all my passwords is great."
"Once I made the OneLogin ID, it would essentially make user names and passwords for every application that we had."
"In my role, the most valuable features are two-factor authentication and self-service password reset. The most helpful feature for the institution as a whole is probably the single sign-on. As an IT director, I care about security and ease of use."
"OneLogin is efficient."
"It's super useful to have a single pane of glass when it comes to access management."
"Documentation."
"One aspect I particularly appreciate is their exceptional customer support whenever I've needed assistance."
"The solution allows the user to search logs based on a specific time."
"The solution is highly stable and scalable"
"We use the product to run different reports."
"The mobile biometric authentication option improved user experience. It's always about security because, with two-factor authentication, it's always a separate device verifying the actual user logging in."
"The solution has a smooth and configurable user interface for single sign-on capabilities."
"It is a scalable solution...It is a stable solution."
"It's pretty stable as a product."
"The only feature we were looking for in PingID was SSO integration with our existing web app."
"The most valuable feature is multifactor authentication."

Cons

"I'd like OneLogin to have a customization section that displays the company's offerings, categorized by different topics."
"This product doesn't necessarily provide us with all of the functionality that we need, such as being able to share passwords with external users."
"They have downtime twice a year or once in six months. During the downtime, the SSO page did not come up. When users wanted to get to their email, they were redirected to the OneLogin page, but the page did not come up, and MFA and logins failed. It completely crippled us."
"In terms of managing the users on a large scale, it would be easier if they had some kind of user management portal."
"OneLogin offers a Virtual LDAP feature that we utilize, although it differs slightly from traditional LDAP servers."
"I would like better reporting from SmartFactor Authentication when a user is not able to sign in due to a new location, new IP, new device, et cetera."
"OneLogin needs to increase the number of connectors available out of the box to connect to the different endpoints. The number of out-of-box connectors should be increased."
"More off-hour support."
"Currently, the main integration is SAML-based, but other integration methodologies need to be supported."
"The solution should allow for better integration with other platforms and the UBT."
"The product is not customizable."
"We have encountered instances where it is not easy to do authentication."
"The timing of the token validity, if it could be extended, would be great. I'm not sure if there is even an option to configure these types of settings."
"It has a long way to go until it is a cloud-based solution."
"If the solution is going to compete with Microsoft, they need to offer more unique functionality to keep their current user base."
"In the beginning, the initial setup was very complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the licensing is fine."
"While I wish OneLogin's pricing was more affordable, their licensing model, which is based on per user, is acceptable."
"It was cheap in the beginning, and then it became very expensive. We were initially charged $2 per user per month, which was fine, but by the second year, they increased it to $5 per user. That became very expensive for us because we had about 1,500 users. At $2 per user, it comes out to be $3,000 a month, which is $36,000 a year. If we move to $5 per user, it comes out to be $7,500 a month. That made its cost so high. That is why we removed the product because the cost was high."
"The pricing and licensing are reasonable. It is much cheaper than other products."
"Surprisingly expensive given the price of on-premise solutions."
"OneLogin's pricing, from the perspective of the education sector, seems quite reasonable for the value it delivers."
"The pricing for OneLogin seems to be okay. The pricing and licensing are affordable. If you'd consider OneLogin to be expensive, it's worth it."
"We were happy with the price we got when we signed up, but I don't know what will happen when the time comes to renew because it is a different company now. We haven't seen any pricing models or had that discussion yet. My renewal is a year and a half away. It's worth what we're paying for it. There's no way we could provide the level of service for cheaper or try to do the same in-house."
"Ping offers flexible pricing that's not standardized."
"The product is costly."
"The pricing is neither too expensive nor too cheap."
"PingID pricing is a ten out of ten because it's a little bit cheaper than other tools, such as Okta and ForgeRock, and supports multiple tools."
"PingID's pricing is pretty competitive."
