A strong part of our zero-trust architecture that makes it easy to manage privileged access
One area that has room for improvement is in managing the credentials for network devices. The solution works fine for servers running Windows 10, but it's not very functional or smooth in operation for servers running Linux and Unix operating systems. There could also be some improvement in integrating with a number of solutions. Though CyberArk keeps developing, improving, or increasing its integrations with other solutions, it could do better. I would also like the initial setup to be easier because we have to engage the services of a partner when setting up the solution. Moreover, the documentation for setup is restricted to partners only. You can get training on the administration of the solution, but the setup and getting some support documents are reserved for partners only. If there were a better way to get this information out there or to make it more accessible, that would reduce the complexity of setting up the solution.

The native integration is crucial
The primary use case for Delinea Secret Server is to sort the privileged passwords. It can also change passwords after a set period or revoke passwords when someone leaves the company. Delinea needs to be on-premises because Turkish regulations do not allow cloud-based security solutions for some…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This is the number one product for privilege account security."
"The solution is scalable."
"The most valuable feature is that it does lifecycle management and that it will change to whatever the end target is."
"The most valuable feature of CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager is its ability to reset passwords every time that it is needed or periodically."
"What sets CyberArk apart is its continuous innovation, staying ahead of the competition."
"The solution allows me to give access and privileges to each user individually"
"The password rotation and the session recording are the most valuable features."
"The product is very flexible"
"Technical support is pretty good."
"It offers the possibility of secure administration of hardware devices, as well as Linux systems administration from a Windows environment."
"I like that you can change the password remotely."
"The product provides a native user experience without requiring users to install additional software or agents."
"The privileged access management, which is the Safe Access Model is the most valuable feature."
"The solution is good."
"Its technical support is good."
"The user interface is quite good. It's very straightforward."

Cons

"Technical support is slow to respond when we run into issues."
"The turnaround time of the support team is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The product's threat protection and defense capabilities need enhancement."
"CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager is a perfect solution, but CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager for Linux has many issues. Another area for improvement in CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager, specifically for Windows, is that there's no way for you to check credential theft from a text file, such as a notepad file."
"The product needs a streamlined user interface; improvements to the user interface can enhance user experience and make the solution more intuitive to navigate."
"The installation process is pretty difficult."
"Performance could be better. We have a couple of problems with CyberArk right now. One of the problems is performance in our environment. Support also takes a long time to respond. If the user already has local admin rights, then I can't collect any events in the console from this device. There are also some options in CyberArk that are not working properly, and are not helpful in this case. I can't collect any information to create a proper policy for the device. I have to investigate everything manually, or even disable the local admin from the device. I can collect the events only after this, and it's very time consuming. In my case, it's a waste of resources."
"One area that has room for improvement is in managing the credentials for network devices."
"Documentation could be improved if they were to include more about connectors. There is not enough documentation."
"One of the things that we want is to be able to do some of the management of it using APIs."
"Support could be better. I have heard about a lot of problems in the Bangladesh market. People are saying that there are support issues. So, Delinea should focus on support and services."
"I would like to see the shadowing of ongoing terminal sessions (Remote Desktop Mirroring)."
"We could definitely use some help with API tokenization. If we had a way to store tokens that would be fabulous."
"The integration with the ticketing system ServiceNow is complex."
"I would like to see improvement with the integration with Azure Active Directory. This would mean that we can have support on multiple platforms such as Windows, Linux, and Mac."
"The tool should integrate additional features like OCR."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten since the price can be too high for smaller businesses."
"licensing for this solution is based on the number of APV (privileged users), and the number of sessions that you want to record."
"The professional services for one eight-hour day would be $1,800."
"I think that it was in the range of $200,000 that had to get approved."
"The price of CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager is expensive."
"The product's license is easy to procure."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable compared to other vendors' products."
"Pricing depends on how many devices you use. Right now, on-premise, it costs us a little, but it's worth it. It seems like the cloud solution is much more expensive. We got this solution one year ago, and it's like we bought the solution, and now they are not going to support it on-premise anymore. We are in the implementation phase, and we missed this, and we already paid for the licenses. This is wasted time from my perspective, and CyberArk should be more customer-friendly."
"It isn't terribly expensive."
"There is an annual license fee per user and the price is fair."
"The solution is low-cost than other vendors."
"I would give the price a four on a scale from one to ten, with one being the cheapest and ten being the most expensive. We pay for the license on a yearly basis, and we paid for three years. It costs around 5000 a year."
"There is an annual license needed to use Delinea Secret Server."
"Pricing is comparable to competing products."
"Most customers opt for a yearly license."
"Secret Server is expensive when compared to the cost to some alternatives."
