Improves network visibility and keeps our products up to date with the latest patches
This is a solution that I recommend. In fact, those without it are at a disadvantage when it comes to managing their network. The biggest lesson that I have learned is in terms of visibility. GFI LanGuard has given me a wakeup call in terms of what is happening on endpoint machines. However, it is more than just having visibility. It is about having control in terms of what you want to block and what you're able to block. It keeps our network stable in that there are no running applications that you don't even know you have. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Directly receive updates and push them to the server using a stable solution
There is one area that confuses me and can use a lot of improvement in ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus. Once we add a server inside the solution, we cannot specify the server or target for a specific customer. If I want to apply a patch for a specific customer, I have to look at them by the IP, I have to sort them by the IP, then select them, one by one. There is no tagging or a site where I can include them in that group, so I have to patch the group. I would like the ability to segregate the customer. The solution should have a customer label where we can label those servers or include those servers for specific customers.

"The most valuable features of GFI LanGuard are the vulnerability assessment, it provides us with substantial insight into what applications are running on the endpoint systems and what vulnerabilities are there in the running applications. The second would be the assets tracking. I'm able to see in the network whether my endpoint server is operating and if all the other IT equipment is running in the environment. Additionally, GFI LanGuard is not heavy on system resources. It gives a competitive advantage over others."
"The solution is easy to use and integrates well with other operating systems."
"It is a highly stable solution."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is centralized management."
"The solution's technical support is top-notch. Whenever I have a question, they get back to me immediately, which is probably one of the best features of the solution's technical support."

"The documentation on how to use this solution in a Linux environment is not clear, which is something that should be improved because it is complicated."

"They should add better features for managing hardware."
"The cloud version should have option to add all the endpoints using the agent. Not only for Windows, but also the Linux version. There are some versions which are not compatible with SaaS Manager. So some customers do not want to use the latest version of Linux latest version of CentOS. Actually, CentOS is not available. But some are using and patch manager is compatible for some versions only, not older older versions. So there are some pros and cons that are referred to patch management."
