We performed a comparison between Akamai Guardicore Segmentation and McAfee MOVE AntiVirus based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Cloud and Data Center Security solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Initially, I liked the telemetry part. But later, we used the microsegmentation features that we were able to deploy and found that they really stood out from other vendors. It allows us to see microsegmentation as distributed services."
"The label-based segmentation is the most valuable feature."
"Application Ring-Fencing and Deception Server, which is basically like a honeypot, are pretty useful features."
"From day one, you get threat intelligence. It will immediately block active threats, which has been useful."
"Guardicore Centra offers the best coverage specifically in backward compatibility with legacy operating systems."
"We like the centralized management of the firewalls. Until we installed Guardicore Centra, we managed all our firewalls individually, so making changes was complicated, difficult, and time-consuming."
"The interface and dashboard are amazing."
"I found the solution to be stable."
"McAfee works quickly."
"The most valuable feature of McAfee MOVE AntiVirus is the central management console. I can control everything from one place."
"The product offers good compatibility with other solutions and has good integration potential."
"The tool offers protection from viruses for devices and endpoints."
"McAfee MOVE AntiVirus is easy to use."
"One of the most valuable features is the performance. It's very stable."
"The most valuable features of McAfee MOVE AntiVirus are the auto-scans on the systems, and if it detects any virus, it will send out notifications or alerts."
"The installation is quite straightforward."
"In our version, when using the terminal server, we cannot exclude user tasks for each session."
"Sometimes, the speed needs improvement, especially when it comes to the generation of maps, where it can be a bit slow."
"They can maybe improve their customer service just because they are kind of a small organization, and customer service isn't as big as others such as VMware."
"Kubernetes is not installed in the way we need it."
"Supports become difficult when it's for a big organization. For a small organization, medium organization, it still makes sense, however, for a big organization, it makes life difficult."
"Needs more customization of honeypots and a vaster catalog of systems able to be mimicked."
"Incident tagging could be improved. Other vendors offer semi-automatic tagging, which Guardicore doesn't yet have."
"The product needs a few features like enhanced user policies and payload-level inspection to improve the offering."
"There is room for improvement in terms of stability."
"The installation process could be improved. It's a bit difficult, but once you get it right, it's fine."
"Sometimes, the updates don't happen successfully. The updates start, but they are not completed. Let's say there is a process that runs on the server-side every night, and it pushes the updates. Sometimes, these updates fail. I'm not sure whether it is a McAfee's problem or an internal problem with our systems. If this is really an issue with McAfee MOVE AntiVirus, McAfee can work on it and improve it in the next release. If it is an internal issue, I need to figure out why it is happening within the organization. We may need to take some technical support from McAfee to see what the problem is and then we need to get it fixed. At this point in time, all I know is that it happens sometimes."
"McAfee drive encryption does not work very smoothly."
"SentinelOne provides a cloud solution that McAfee MOVE AntiVirus should as well. When all other vendors come out with new features they are implemented by all the other vendors within a few months. However, this is not the case with McAfee MOVE AntiVirus. They should update their features more often to be more competitive with the market."
"The most valuable features of this product are the updated database, the low consumption of resources, and that you can leave it working in the background and it doesn't need any attention."
"We'd like the price point to be more attractive to potential users."
"This solution is okay for users who are just office personnel. Developers or users who heavily use their laptops complain that it really slows down their laptops. Using this solution can be a big challenge from the performance perspective if you need a productive system that locally runs multiple VMs."
